The best teams play with three up top who can interchange positions. Admittedly we look better when Andros is in the team but Ayew is playing well enough to be in one of those starting positions. If Wilf goes I would buy two wingers/inside forwards in the Antonio type mould with the money. If your front three can defend a bit and score goals then this has to be the way forward when you are starting with three holding midfielders. No need for a traditional style centre forward.

If Firmino/Salah/Rashford had scored that goal yesterday the media would have gone into the usual big team w**kfest, calling it the goal of the season.

This idiot should be removed from the squad. Did you see him shaking his head in disbelief because he was subbed? Bangell said in another post that he's getting 50k a week from us. That makes the other Jordan's (Mutch) 17k a bargain. Wow!! What a difference a year makes!!

I commented on HOL when Ayew was on the receipt of a degree of vitriol that he scored 10 goals for Swansea in the season they were relegated and as such this wasn't a bad return in a struggling side. I believe I also asserted that has stamina, makes a number of runs in a game and will run the channels all day.He has shown a similar work ethic at our club and is far removed from the player who disappointed last season and who drew comments of incredulity when we signed him for £2.5 Mill in pre-season.How one's fortunes can change!

He has in fact admitted he was overweight and unfit last season but that he had a good pre season this year and both he and his family are happy and settled. The last bit is I think important and probably contributory to his performances.

I rank it as one of the best goals Ive ever seen by a Palace player in my 50 years of supporting the boys and it took me back to Johnny Byrne's days when he regularly scored goals like that for fun..Albeit against lesser defenders.

for what he has ability wise, and what he cost us he is decent enough. this isnt his fault, but he cant be relied on as the main man up top.
