Who are the do gooders? I'm afraid there is a lot wrong in self interest nowadays, it's got to the stage where the world can no longer be governed by a distant, remote yet powerful entity. World involvement is essential and that doesn't simply mean sweeping into battle whenever it suits them.

Stu- what happened to your old picture? I prefer the one with the beers in hand!

I'm gonna put a bet on a Hillary v Arnie fight in 4 years time!!!

I'd like to see that but it ain't gonna happen as Arnie was not born in U.S. Mind you, Don King might be interested in putting it on....

They've been trying to change the constitution for years in the US. Madeleine Albright (also non-US) has been campaigning for it for years.

Within 4 years that will have changed.

Mark my words, Arnie v Hillary.

I was under the impression that it's written into the US constitution that in order to run for the presidency, you have to have been born in the US, which would rule Arnie out.

And as for this current election, I'm pretty satisfied that Bush has won, as appears to be the case.

Kerry is very much an unknown quantity, and I would seriously worry about his intentions (which let's be honest, nobody seems to have understood upto this point) should he win power.

I am concerned with this attitude "get rid of the current guy for the sake of change". Get rid of the president for the right reasons, but at least make sure that the guy you are rteplacing him with, is a viable alternative. I have seen nothing from senator Kerry to suggest that he would offer anything radicaly different from Bush, aside from a syrupy attitude towards the golbal threat that faces America.

Looks like it's all but over ... 4 more years it is.

I'm scared for the future of my son (just like anyone else with kids should be) ... brace yourself for a new world war (the western world against islam) with us in the middle of a very bloody affair. I hope my child will survive the future, I hope you and yours will survive too !!

Good advice for everyone who doesn't have kids yet : Don't start making any .. it's gonna be a bloody mess in the future.

Common sense suffered a serious defeat today .. thank you America for jeopardising Europe's future. Muslim terror as reaction to this ahead !!

finished

It's pretty much over. Unless all the absentee ballots in Ohio roll Kerry's way, Bush has got this locked up...

do-gooders are social workers, over zealous teachers etc...fair point I suppose ruling purely for self interest promotes survival of the fittest which would be unpopular with most people. My old picture, I just changed it cos I was bored with it, I probably change it to something else soon.

Yes, lets be rid of those evil tyrants

And that's the ball game Kerry just conceded... Glad it's over but with a 51%/49% split, I think we are in for a lot of turmoil...
