That game was awful. You can't take much from a friendly, but if Mateta gets injured we are in trouble. More firepower needed. And just get another left wing back for god’s sake. We only have Mitchell.

I watched it on Palace TV and there was no mention of extra time. Brighty didn't seem to know about it. The stream stopped. Did it come back on?

They did carry on playing after the final whistle, but it was just a kick about, we’d had enough and left, palace scored again as we were walking out apparently It was all a glorified training session really, which is why I don’t usually bother with friendlies, good for families with their kids who struggle to get tickets normally and it looked like the club shop did a roaring trade, but bring on the real stuff next weekend

Olise really is a huge loss It was boring, but surely no-one watches or goes to a pre season friendly in the heat a week before the season starts expecting a classic, I certainly didn’t. It’s just a nice easy laid back game for families to go to who might other wise struggle to get tickets and not to be taken too seriously. I’m sure we’ll look a lot sharper next week
