Some clubs are owned by betting companies Spurs and Stoke for example. Are all their fans up in arms spouting morality, I dont think so. Its just some branding on a shirt, which changes regularity, most people have no idea what the name refers to, I doubt they are bothered enough to google it and find out.

I haven't seen anywhere what this deal is worth, but I'd love to know how much this hitherto unknown outfit are paying for the rights to promote themselves on our shirts.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

If 'most people,' have no idea what the name refers to would that mean as advertising it does not work? People will know.plenty about this as it will be all over the ground. Sponsorship by any betting group should be banned.

Seems ironic that the players would be banned for using the service provided by their own shirt sponsors. Not really, as it's aimed at the audience. I don't think many players got their cars from Cinch.

I thought they took an ethical stance. I would imagine they are being offered way over the odds for this and the club are looking to stay closer to the black for the next 2 years while the builder's bills roll in. If they are thinking they will increase shirt sales in East Asia, forget it. It's the wild west out there. The only replica shirts sold will be replicas of the replicas.

Exactly, and the idea of jeopardising that to make a moral stance about the evils of gambling is laughable.
