Are people worried about this now his £68m release clause has been revealed, lots of clickbait about it, his family attending the North London derby, Southgate alluding to players may be having transfer talks during Euro's? Or is it the usual rumours and Spuds' underhand tapping up tactics? I was told (and read) the Eze does not have a release clause. Only a gentleman's agreement with Palace that should a significant offer come in and he wants to go we would not stand in his way. I'd like to think this was true but if he does have a release clause and it is indeed for £68m I'd imagine the terms will be very similar to Olise's release clause. IE for a start the buying club only qualify for that release figure if they can offer CL football. This rules Spurs out therefore if I were Parish the price to them is £100m. If Caciedo is worth over £100m its perfectly reasonable to put that figure on Eze.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I was told & read, he does. Ok, So you are saying that you know for a fact that he has a release clause. While I have no interest in arguing the only way you could possibly know that for sure is if you are personal friends with Parish, Eze's agent or Eze himself. All of which incredibly unlikely but lets assume you are right. It still rules Spurs out if the release clause is conditional upon the buying club being able to offer CL football. Its reasonable to assume that to be the case as that is 100% written into Olise's new contract. Parish said so himself around the time Olise extended. If he has done this on Olise's contract it is unlikely that he hasn't done the same for an equally valuable asset

The agency which represents several high-profile Spurs players, their manager and they supposedly want Eze to sign for Spurs...makes it funny that they gave him a box to support Arsenal. I mean, not laugh-out-loud funny, but it did amuse me.

I feel that very soon we will be reading about Eze and Olise signing new contracts with us taking them out of any gossip of the pair moving on. Hopefully Anderson and JPM will also get improved contracts and with the likely new signings coming in, next season should be a wonderful time to follow the red and blue army.

He may have well been at the Emirates for the return fixture but it doesn't support the current narative.

Don't worry he wont go, Thread closed. I’m not worried either way! If he stays, brilliant. If he goes and we get £68 million, equally brilliant. We’re not a 1 man team any more so no player is indispensable. We need to sell to add the players Glasner wants and so long as he, Dougie, and Steve Parish are on the same page with decisions we will be fine. Selling is part of the business and no doubt Glasner was aware of that fact. Personally. I’d prefer Guehi to go if anyone has to but anyone who doesn’t want to be part of Oliver’s army next season can leave and good luck to them.

Like I have said a million times. Money is not enough to attract top player to a club like ours. You want to give that all away for mere money?

You’re missing the point. This is a great time for the club but it doesn’t depend on whether he stays or goes. I’d love him to stay but if he doesn’t want to be part of what the club is building then he can go for 68 million and that money will help bring in more talent. I’m optimistic about our future with or without Eze and Olise.
