Yeah let’s play Foden completely out of position at the expense of one of the best strikers in the world.

Lets wait and see shall we, the team will change drastically from the opening match shambles, Lanzo knows best

So you are predicting a shambles against Serbia with Kane up front, then a drastic change for the second match with Foden up front. Interesting.

Muziala showed why he could well be the star of the tournament.

Dis Scotland even have a shot? And as for that red card foul, can't see why it took so long to decide. Really bad challenge.

Not according to the stats.

I agree with Souness Scotland were so bad it's difficult to tell how good Germany are. I thought Germany's ball retention was good but their there crossing and ball into the box was poor.

I liked Germany's more direct approach - the opposite of most current international sides. They kept three at the back and it looked very much like watching the Palace system. They left Scotland no time on the ball and blocked the channels. Scotland never adapted to it and there was little opportunity to react once Germany were two nil up and Scotland had ten men. Germany could pass the ball around then and control the game completely - which they did brilliantly.
Still, never nice to see the Germans win like that. I was laughing at Scotland - even though my Grandad was Scottish - as they were just rubbish, but also annoyed at seeing Germany do so well.

I stayed out of the pub last night on the off chance Scotland got absolutely horsed.
As P.G.Wodehouse observed,
"It is never difficult to distinguish between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine".

I liked how Graeme Souness - no doubt paid handsomely for his 'expertise' - said at the outset that he "fancied Scotland to win" and then shortly afterwards, when the line-ups were shown, he said that it was going to be "a tough ask" for his countrymen. Inspired!!

Just seen via bbc online coverage they have just showed 2 Palace flags, which I belive are Grant Saunders from "eagle's have landed" FB site. Punctuation OK for you YT?

Well if you are quoting the actual name of the FB site and that says "eagle's", then I can't argue with it. Otherwise it should, of course be "eagles", the plural of eagle.

Look, I don't want to fall out with you, not least because I love your posts, but I didn't take too kindly to you questioning my integrity on another thread. Anyway, let's leave it at that, shake hands and wish each other a pleasant evening watching England win (he said, hopefully). If that's OK with you.
