Like others - waited to see what the result was last night. A number of Villa players going to the Euros - they will not want to risk injury…..same with our players… 3-1 Palace Edited by VinceHilaire (15 May 2024 9.51am)

Looked like a number of the Villa players were having a good drink at their end of season awards dinner following the Spurs result. 2:0 Palace..

For me it's 3-1, the only fly in the ointment being if we have too many missing.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

As a Villa fan I'm approaching this a lot more relaxed than I was this time yesterday! We rarely get anything from Selhurst park - I've been there more than any other ground as an away fan against Palace, Wimbledon, Charlton and can only remember seeing us win once!) The biggest problem we have had during our recent run is that we only had two fit midfielders, and with Tielemans back it gives us something more. We started conceding loads because there is still no real protection since Kamara got injured and Dendoncker went on loan. I wouldn't be surprised to see Chambers start. As it is, if Bailey is fit, the shackles will be off and I'm not taking you lightly due to your current form and that we never usually win there, but I see a rampant Villa scoring 3+ (you will score too/two). 2-3, 2-4 Villa.

With CL now secured for Villa I think they'll relax into the final game which will play into our hands. The team is enjoying its football and has found an infectious ruthlessness. It's been so long since we've had a spell like this I think the players will want it to continue and Glasner's approach won't let them have a day off. 3-1 Palace. I think it will be a good game either way and am hoping for a win as it's my youngest son's first game and the slightly older one hasn't seen us win in person yet!

I think Glasner truly wants his players to enjoy the rewards of their profession. The perks, the holidays, the cars, the money. But....he expects them to earn it and that means right up to the final minute of the final game. He will not tolerate slacking just because of that lazy attitude of having 'nothing to play for'. What about pride for playing for Palace? 3=1 Palace
