Nope, I am not. I am asking what has changed since the numerous other examples in recent years to now? Why would someone be unbothered in 2012 but molten with rage now? My reaction to both has been exactly the same, so I am asking someone who has had a different reaction this time round to explain why. I'm not sure why that would be controversial. Why shouldn't they? Just because someone was unbothered 12 years years ago doesn't mean they have to remain unbothered now.

Just out of interest, reading the thread, is the concern her more the perceived 'manufacturing of consent' for an equally suspected, nefarious, underlying agenda? That's how I've interpreted it, and would therefore feel very much inclined to object, however my dedication of resource to such things is very limited atm. Just drives me mad and for no real gain. I'm not sure whether my refusal to support the supposed Trans-St. George's Cross or pay over a ton for the England top is driving my disinterest more. You have to admit, if it's as innocent as many will try to claim, the evidence to suggest otherwise is quite strong. At least Germany had the common sense to pull theirs, there didn't seem to be much complaint with that move. Or are we suggesting the likelihood of the German team to be promoting Nazi symbolism is far higher than the likelihood of corporations who are actively pushing flags and other symbolism elsewhere doing so with the England kit? Look, the discussion is about the Union Flag. Now, if you cannot contribute anything intelligent, other than invective, can i recommend you occupy yourself with alternative activities ? like, taking out the bins & also taking your collection of Marxist books.

absolutely correct Nicholas. You clearly get it and are an Eagle of astute intellect and perceptive acumen.
