I'm surprised at how many people are expecting us to lose this game. I think we'll get at least a point and am (optimistically) going for a 0-2 win for the away team, which may well set up as follows:
Ward ---- Andersen ---- Richards Munoz ---- Wharton ---- Lerma ---- Mitchell Ayew ---------- Eze Mateta As for subs Edited by doombear (30 Mar 2024 9.48am) Edited by doombear (30 Mar 2024 9.48am) Edited by doombear (30 Mar 2024 9.55am) Good call & dare i say, nailed on line-up. Ahamada could also be on bench. Edited by eagleman13 (30 Mar 2024 10.55am)
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Ouch, hmm, i would hazard a guess at Ozoh as we have Schlupp back. I sincerely hope that come next season we will be saying the reverse, if you see what i mean.

With the points deduction gingering Forest and our ongoing aggravated injury situation, it's hard to be optimistic. I think we may see Glasner borrowing more than some may care for from his predecessor's tactics. We'll just have to hope the work in the fixtures break makes us better at stealing goals on the counter and the defence is less fallible than of late. A chance for a breakthrough player if we're hunting a goal in the closing minutes might be be a cheering feature. My head say 1 0 to the home team but I'm still hoping we might edge the game by a goal. (When stopping Wood may be so important , seeing Kayoute turning out for them won't p*** me off any less.)

The Telegraph has a projected lineup including Ahamada instead of Ayew. Originally posted by doombear

This is an important game. It will show whether we can look forward to improving under Glasner or go backwards. This is Glasner's true test. We will know whether we have a champ or a chump. I'm hopeful that Glasner is a champ, and we will win this. But it's a critical game that will expose much about our new manager. Glasner's mistake last time out was subbing without keeping a goal-threat up forward IMHO. Hence I would like to see someone like Plange subbed for the last minutes if we're trying to defend a win. Palace win 1-3. Edited by Oddball2021 (30 Mar 2024 1.29pm)

Edited by Oddball2021 (30 Mar 2024 1.29pm) Well he did bring on Edouard, but I get your point I guess with so many players out it would be unfair to place too much on Glasner's shoulders. But it is an important game. So far under him we have beaten a 10 man team that didn't bother to show up, lost after leading quite well into the game against Spurs and conceded a 96th minute equalizer at home to a team below us in the table. We could do with a convincing display against the weakest opponents we face for the remainder of the season
