Well if OG has signed or is imminently about to sign, "business is business" or not, how hard will it be to tell Roy whilst laying in his hospital bed to 'clear your desk'? The illness must have come at the worst time possible for SP if the OG story is true. Is it really just bad timing or is there something else in the illness/timing or said illness? Why does something here ever so slightly smell of something? Either way, Get well soon Roy, and I really like the sound of OG. Edited by madpalacefan (16 Feb 2024 8.05am)

The board really need to find a buyer to get him out, his multi club philosophy can not work for Palace. Edited by RichardJP (15 Feb 2024 10.08pm) Textor is running the club, not Parish, he just does what Textor tells him, has anyone considered that if Robert Franco who had a UK company called Texton Property ltd put his 5% with Textor thats 50% they would only need one of the 4% small investors to come onboard to attain overall control, which would certainly not go down well with Harris and Blitzer, or has it already happened?

The real question for me under Glasner will be whether we will see a midfield of Richards, Hughes and Lerma together with a front 3 of Ayew, Mateta and Schlupp. Somehow I doubt it. Everybody in the squad is starting with a clean slate with the probability of a revised approach to team selection and tactics. Given results and performances this season, surely it’s a welcome development that at least we will be trying something different to change our fortunes.

We may still go down but we have to back this manager as until he remakes the side in his image we won't be able to properly judge. I think the team will look radically different after he's done with it, both in personnel and style. Interesting times and of course we all wish Roy improved health and a worthy retirement on a great career. Mirrors my thinking, including best wishes for Roy. I wanted Hodgson gone but that is not with any ill feeling, purely for footballing purposes. I wish him all the best I genuinely do and shall not forget the job he had done previously. FdB nightmares still haunt me however I also look at the likes of Emery at Villa for hope. Glasner will be something new and the way things were you can only imagine it will be an improvement. I'm hoping the 'new manager bounce' has an effect with the games we have upcoming, he steers us through to the end of the season with some success and we can spend the summer dreaming of what may be, yet again.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

My concern is will the current squad be anle to play the way Oliver wants too ? Ans have the technical ability to play fast pace counter attacking football ?
