In simple terms players were there to either stop goals or create/score them.
Clearly defined roles within a team structure.
I think I see something of this approach in Glasner, although they are obviously different personalities with different backgrounds.
At heart though I see a streak of pragmatism and reluctance to complicate the game.
I think Glasner will want to change the playing staff for next season to better reflect his approach.
Whether he gets his way remains to be seen.
