As does your inability to explain it - we’re talking about two events which are the best part of 100 years apart. The woman on question time made a perfectly valid point - anti-Zionism does not equal anti-semitism, and I suspect you and others who readily weaponise the accusation know that in reality.

I guess the overriding point is that no group or individual should be above criticism or justice. This is something that both sides of politics should remember.

The left have only ever cared about these nuances once this form of commentary started to be applied to them. They were and are perfectly happy to shout racist at their opponents so forgive me if I think what is happening.....while perhaps not fair.....is at least a form of long overdue karma. They did the very same thing...held their nose and shouted racist at everything....They didn't care about truth, so why should anyone else care now. Welcome to the party pal. The UK, Scottish, Welsh governments and The London Assembly use the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism. Initially Labour refused to use this and chose a variation, but adopted it after the Corbyn debacle. It has no legal standing but if some in the Labour party are unhappy with it perhaps they should lobby the IHRA for changes.

Not the fact free speech is being curtailed; just the fact that every one of every colour, race, belief, political persuasion or binary choosing will be fair game I guess. No one can hide so at least “where all in this together” to quote Chevy chase rather than a no mark politician will be the order of the day. Of course there will be swerves and excuses but the good old media will help them on their way. TR will be pissing himself laughing
