A journalist, can’t recall which one, wrote that Parish was viewing the building of the new stand as his legacy. That he cares about the club is not in dispute in my opinion. In terms of achievement, Steve is the most successful chairman we have had. Although of course the likes of Arthur Wait and Ron Noades were virtually outright owners which Parish has never been. Everybody makes mistakes and I’m sure he would be the first to admit that he’s made a few down the years. But I think his decision making has been questionable for a couple of years now. It feels to me that he’s getting it wrong more often than right . I’m sure the discord in the Boardroom is having an impact. Depends what you call success!! I would rather be in a league below, having a great cup run, producing youth that's later sold for a profit.. almost achieving the promised land of the prem...

So, with respect, how/what are we, as supporters supposed to do, according to you? Are we,according to you, not allowed to voice our displeasure at what we pay hard earned money, following our team? I & the majority of supporters know the people involved work hard for the club, BUT, why is it we are now where we are & for the 1st time since I can remember, in now my 60th season of being on the roller coaster that is CPFC, fans/supporters are now demonstrating? We are all fed up. Telling us supporters to go & stop attending, spend our hard earned money elsewhere, who the hell are you??? —————————————————————————————————————-

It is always going to be difficult to determine what if anything the owners have done wrong as we are not in the board meetings.

If comments by Ed Aarons are true - and he is usually fairly reliable Parish is concerned that if he sacks Roy there will not be another decent manager available to step in. This has to be a concern as we have had issues for a while so why are there not plans B and maybe C. Also why does he feel that with the number of half decent managers either out of work or from the lower divisions, none would come to us? Why are we such an unattractive option? If we carry on flogging players like Olise and Eze to death then we destroy their value to us and any future resale value. All makes no sense

If you were Harris, Blitzer or Textor, would you be happy with Parish's performance as a salaried employee ( CEO ) ? I think we can guess as to Textor's answer...

All makes no sense I suspect that Parish has identified the next manager, but....he doesn't want to sack Hodgson. He may now have to but that's not his preference. That manager is either unavailable at the moment OR as reported in a couple of media sources, unwilling to come in at this particular moment in time. Vieira was by no means the first choice for the job and Palace are looking like heading down that road again if Hodgson goes now.

Once you start drilling into fans feelings it exposes the anomaly of Premier league football.

All makes no sense Really not difficult to pick up the phone to cooper or potter, confidentially, and sound them out. So I'd suspect this has been done, and so its less of SP concerned, more that SP knows. to be fair If i was an out of work manager (still getting paid), I'd say no thanks, I'm going go spend a few months chilling out. If you survive, I'll come in at the start of pre-season.

Surely it can be no secret in the industry what it is like to work for Steve Parish and CPFC? No wonder there aren't many candidates stepping forward. It actually explains how we've had to suffer over five seasons of Roy Hodgson.

Pulis did one, fat Sam did one, Hodgson back in the chair - it ain’t the man in the chair its the man who puts him in the chair that is the problem…we are a poisoned challis until it changes at the top. Sad but true.

Our current predicament is down to Parish and Parish alone. Whilst on the surface Roy does seem to be set in his ways, Parish knew that and you can't blame Roy for not selecting players that he considers are not up to the job and clearly, as he sees them daily in training we have to accept his superior knowledge and experience about football team management. Parish asked Roy to come back because after trying last summer to find a replacement it was quite obvious that the same situation prevailed then as it is still today. I suspect that is because no decent manager is going to put his reputation on the line with the way Parish wanted them to run the first team, coupled with the limited resources available to strengthen. All decent potential managers, prior to interview will do an in depth team analysis of the existing squad prior to interview, they will then have a good idea of what is needed in order to have a half decent team that can perform in the EPL. They can also see from outside that we have at board level no harmony. Parish is estranged from the rest of the board and today in the press (Guardian) Parish is alleged to have said, he cannot find a replacement for Roy, this seems to confirm the above. Whilst it's great having an academy, statistic show that only 0.5% will ever be good enough for elite football so you have to have a blend with the academy of good team investment and scouting all over the world to identify talent in a way that other clubs seem to do more successfully than CP. We have several major positions that still need filling, starting with a dominant defender who can deal with high balls in to the box, Mitchell needs replacing as his positional awareness and defending on the back post is awful and we need a striker who chases everything and is good in the 6 yard box and able to attack the ball. Some of the transfer decision made by Parish and Freedman in the summer window you have to question, For example, the spend on Henderson, Holding and Franca last summer. That money would have been better invested in other positions as none them seem to offer anything to the team at present. No wonder we are where we are and it sickens me to see other equivalent teams being better run than our own because of a stubborn Parish who will not change or move on!
