I'm not even going to waste my time even trying to justify the this thread. I'm tired of repeating myself.

As fans is now the time we start chanting our feelings towards parish?

Do we start making banners on all four sides at selhurst?

Do we do what other clubs have recently done and throw object's onto the field to disrupt the game?

Or do we just sit Clap and applaud the team week in week out for what is currently going on?

I truly think next season our time is up after our 12 year stint in this league. our top players will be sold. . . . . If you look who is likely getting promoted in the likes of Leicester City. Leeds and Southampton. We won't be getting the Lutons or the Sheffield Uniteds and Burnleys of this season. Which is the only reason why we aren't in the bottom 3 now. These teams promoted are ready made prem sides with far more quality and will have far more money to spend and will attract better players than what we could!!

What do we do as fans going forward? Protest?

I'm very interested to see what everyone's views are on this

I don’t like the guy but I don’t think we have reason to protest. He provides us with a football club and team for us to support and at the end of the day that’s all I can ask for. In terms of being in the Prem or being higher in the table we have no God given right as we’re competing with 91 other clubs that all want the same.

I may not like the football at the moment but if we’re abiding by FFP then in terms of players in we may very well be hamstrung but I’d rather that than get points deductions.

As I stated, I don’t like him but as long as I can go support my team at Selhurst then I feel we can all criticise and have opinions on how he runs the club but I don’t feel the need in trying to get him removed especially as we may end up with some clueless Yanks, a dodgy Chinese businessman or an immoral Middle Eastern country replacing him!!

What exactly would we be protesting at/against?
Things could be and have been a lot, lot worse!

your assumption that i want palace to finished higher in the league year after year has made an ass out of you and an ass out of me. if i had meant that, then id of actually said we should be going for the title by now

And of course i was around during those years, and what great years they were. look how far we have progressed in that previous decade. the last 12 years the league suggests we have not progressed at all. rather than stagnate with zero ambition than to stay in this division and line the owners pockets, they are the only winners.

did you know currently in this division only 8 teams have spent more consecutive years in the Prem than us? i know this is a good sign. But do you not by now think, by now, rather than flirting with relegation for over a decade year upon year. we shouldn't we flirting with reaching a European spot? I'm not asking for every year we do this.... . . . but come on!! we should have at least flirted with hitting the spot IF NOT MAKING IT ONCE DURING THIS TIME!!..... are you ok with how every season mirrors the previous? can you put up with another 10 years

1 win in our last 12. 6 wins in 24 is a joke. shambolic transfer windows!! And last night our season ended for yet another season going out of the cup at the 3rd round YET AGAIN under Roy! what do we have left to aim for this year? what's our target? i know the answer. its to stay above 18th spot. I'm done with this i want us to aim a little higher even if its only for 1 year.

look if your happy with supporting a dead team with no ambition and are happy to finish somewhere between 12th and 17th all while other teams are coming up around us finishing higher and doing greater things, then all good. im happy for you

its clear our owners have reached their ceiling and cant take us any higher. but im sorry, i think after the crap with been dealt with over the past few years. Us fans deserves better!!!

I think you had already made an arse of yourself by starting the thread, mate.

Surviving for 12 seasons in the Premier League is no mean fete which shouldn't be sniffed at. You've said yourself it's a good thing, which would contradict your reason for protesting about the mismanagement of the club.

As I say, there are many bigger clubs than us who haven't achieved our level of success. I also don't think we regularly flirt with relegation, we're staunch midtableists.

To say we have no ambition is grossly unfair to Parish given how far he's taken us. We'd all love to get to Europe but we don't qualify for that based on how long we've been in the Premier League. For a smaller club like us with a dilapidated stadium and smallish fan base, we'll struggle to attract big names, nor can we afford their salaries. The reality is we need to be pragmatic to stay in the division. Parish has tried rolling the dice with De Boer and Vieira and I'm sure he'll try again.

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to splash the cash this transfer window. Seasons over. Better off saving the money and letting Roy's future replacement spend it. Treat this season as an opportunity to get Ozoh and Franca up to speed.

I get the frustration and from a selfish point of view would enjoy a stint in the Championship to reignite my love, but that's not to the benefit of the club.

Funnily enough my most enjoyable time as a fan were the up and down years where the ecstasy of a promotion season, winning lots of games was followed by a sobering year of getting bashed up or putting in courageous efforts just to try and be competitive.

Yes we have better players overall now than we did then but is it as exciting to watch? IMO no. If it wasn’t for the worry that we might fall off the edge of a cliff if we went down, I would be quite happy to have a year or so in the Championship, get rid of the expensive deadwood and build a team based on exciting young players.

Unfortunately, the players most likely to leave if we are relegated would be Guehi, Eze and Olise with Andersen and Doucoure close behind. Rebuilding after such an exodus would be a slow, painful and not necessarily entertaining process.

We are in the worst place that I can remember since 2010.
The fans are seriously disgruntled, our Manager should not be in place, the football is generally pretty dire, the players do not appear to have their hearts in it,many players likely to leave in the summer, rumblings of problems in the boardroom - the perfect storm really.
Yes we are in the Premier League and have been for a while but I see the next few months as being pivotal to the next few years of our existance.

This.
What makes any of us fans think we have the right to decide who runs/owns the club and how they do so? I'm pretty sure what most company owners would say if their customers started criticizing the way its run. Regardless of how fans might see themselves, to a company owner (club CEO) thats exactly what us fans are. Customers.
Its actually laughable to think the club would sack Roy right now just because its what some of the fans want. If they do it they will do it because it suits them.

I have been in conversation with a few supporters and the message I received reflects your mindset.
They are infused with despondency, their 'wells' of positivity have run dry.

I think you are trying to make it look as bad as you possibly can which is up to you. I'm a glass half full fan personally. Some fans are disgruntled, our manager should not be in place? According to who? You? I agree the football is not great but if we stay in the division which I think we will I'm happy to write off this season. Players dont have their hearts in it? Thats just made up crap. Many players likely to leave in the summer? Thats a bad thing? Make up your mind. I thought you just said the football was dire and their hearts weren't in it. Surely then players leaving is a good thing? As for problems in the boardroom, I really cant see how that is the case when the current shareholders went into this knowing what they'd get out of it and that Parish was going to run the club day to day. So whats changed?

It would appear to me that the board have made a decision to mark time this season and plan for a forward movement from next season wether for financial constraint or awaiting the availability of a manager or new owners to take us forward.
Problem has been in doing so the performances on the field have been uninspiring leading to the fans disappointment. Fans need someone to blame some go for the manager some for the CEO some for the Director of Football some for the Shareholders. Either way it is always what happens on the field which irks fans most and they build a case against someone to vent their frustrations. Nothing a few wins won’t put right.
We have to accept we don’t have owners who want to risk chasing the holy grail so under the circumstances we just have to accept that our progress will be slow.
To me our main problem has been the injuries to our most influential players in what is a thin squad , without flair players you can only play predictable football which is not very entertaining. I cannot see the Board at this time in the season deviating from the plan they will probably top up the squad to ensure survival which if the players achieve on the field then any talk of disharmony will be irrelevant. Fans will always moan about something such is life.COYP

I grew up in South Norwood, a committed fan for 60 plus years. These days I live in Canada, but every year I make one or two trips to Selhurst Park, spouse in tow, no expense spared, with no family in the UK now, its all about the game. This is the first year I am not making any plans to spend the money to watch a game, because I know I will be disappointed. Why is that? Frankly, my impression is that the club has reached a point where it has lost its way as a Premier league side. I hope I am wrong, we make some inspired signings, we bring talent into the team, we strengthen the squad, we bring hope ..... but, I am not convinced and at the end of the day, the pride of being a Palace supporter is being severely challenged at the moment. I can't be anything other than a Palace fan, but FFS give me something to be proud of!
