I think he'd be great for us. However I'm not sure I'd be up for paying a £5m loan fee. City aren't really in a bargaining position, I'd just play the waiting game.

This is the window loan signing that goes somewhere else on deadline day. With us wondering how he ended up at West Ham.

Wasting your time. The initial asking fee may be, but as we get down to the end of the window, Man C may soften their stance

Latest Hodgson quote "He was one of the most exciting players when he was at Leeds" OMG. Phillip's style is 'exciting'? No wonder we get served up the dross we are seeing.

Wasting your time. I boldly hazard that you are mistaken sir - he needs us and we need him - Parrish splashes when relegation rears its head, Phillips can keep us up (plus a right back and a striker).

We are smaller players than Newcastle and West Ham and Newcastle are geographically closer to his upbringing. However, he will have seen Newcastle gazumping us on Lewis Hall and that player barely getting a game. We have only 2 advantages over those 2 clubs. The first is that we may be the only serious contender (?). Otherwise, it's game time. He and Lerma will get every game till May. So, the decision is whether money talks, or whether he will be swayed by the likelihood of getting his game time in advance of the Euros. Gallagher's elevation from Chelsea fringe to England regular after a season with us cannot have escaped his notice. And given his relative youth, he may be happy with that bargain bin arrangement if it is only for half a season.

Is this why his agents are trying to get City to reduce/review their terms?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
