As for cover for Ayew, again I can't see anyone coming in for that. Club won't bring in a player that will block Franca's route into the team after only recently signing him and him not having had a lot of game time yet. Franca will cover Ayew with Rak-Sakyi on the bench.

Most likely will be a CM on loan, although interesting if this will even happen with Richards doing well in the position at the moment.

Ayew will return from AFCON before JRS returns from injury.

Time to check out lower leagues?

Sakamoto (Coventry) looks lively and can score
Szmodics (Blackburn) is a regular scorer
Langstaff (Notts County) another regular
Peterborough - take your pick from three

OK all in lower divisions but many PL regulars came up that way
(Toney, Watkins, Bowen, etc)

All probably now at premium prices but none as expensive as Eddie Nketkia. Kalvin Phillips is out of our league.

Ronnie Edwards Peterborough CB is being linked with Palace. Could it be cover, if Andersen goes?

Trouble is Uphill is that all those players are the wrong side of 25 which would indicate they are at their prime and the level they deserve to be .

Highly rated central defender who was signed from Barnet.
He is actually not that tall for a central defender.
Barry Fry is very impressed with his passing abilities.
I understand that Edwards is a supporter of W.Ham !

I have seen him play for Coventry. He is left-footed and somewhat diminutive. His previous club, KV Oostende played him on the left primarily as an attacking winger or a midfielder.
Good work-rate and dribbling ability. He is very direct and likes to run at defenders. He certainly impressed me.

Clickbait saying we have had numerous bids for Peterborough's Ronnie Edwards turned down, they want 10m.

If we are interested in him just pay it. 10m for a PL centra back is a bargain. Unless we are not sure he is up to the job in which case why are we bidding.

FYI

I just learned that if we are looking for loans to buy you are only allowed one per season from the same club.

So Arsenal who are looking to sign Ivan Toney must either wait until the summer or buy him outright from Brentford.

PL rules :

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

Shame, I was hoping we could add Ramsdale and Raya into the Henderson/Johnstone mix!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Have always liked him, but the fact that he hasn't yet made a move is a little worrying.

Would have liked us to have signed him in the summer instead of Rob Holding (and not renewed JT).
