Yeah any manager worth his salt would be top of the table with this team of world beaters - Cline, Richards, Ayew, Mitchell, Lerma, Mateta - each worth easily over £100m! Luckily Parish is a lot better at this than you or I and realises Roy is doing a great job with very limited resources. But that Is where bring a decent coach comes in. That’s our squad from 2013/14. [Link] Pulis got a decent tune out of a fair lower calibre of player.

It is the difference in the speed of the moves that is striking. As soon as they cross the halfway line, all the alarm bells start ringing. When we attack, they have all the time in the world to take up positions in defence.

There’s just absolutely no plan or idea when we go forward with the ball and a Chelsea side of yesteryear might of had 7 in this first half.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Get bored of saying it but why can’t we just play football instead defenders just hoofing it up field. Someone like franca in midfield would be lovely right now. someone who can run at players and lay it off to eze or olise to cross in or pass to that lanky slow oaf up front

I wish Ayew would stop playing for fouls.

Worryingly for me is our total lack of pace in our players compared to Chelsea. Mateta moving forward with the ball is like watching a donkey pull the Euston to Glasgow train.COYP

I wonder if somebody fancies reminding this team that they need to try and score a goal. Passing sideways and back followed by a hoof up field to Chelsea is not going to be of any use. If we play any more pedestrian, Chelsea players won't even break a sweat.

We are so so slow. Void of ideas. If we can’t give this Chelsea side a game we really are in trouble. This is just not good enough. I don’t want to complain but it’s so frustrating. I know we have our limitations but it’s like it’s been drilled into them… don’t express yourselves. As somebody else mentioned for a well drilled defensive unit we stink too. We did our best when let off the leash against city. What the F@ck have we got to lose at this point
