The old chestnut lack of ambition, what does that mean? To achieve something. It then depends on what the ambition is, you haven't stated what the lack of ambition relates to.
A new Academy was desired and achieved, Premier status was desired and achieved, a new stand is desired and will start May 24. People are saying it wont happen as the board have asked for funding, which is standard procedure, why use your own money.

The latter is presumably pretty dependent on the former, which I don’t think is a given atm with our recent run of results and thin squad. If SP keeps us up this year and next year (which really will be challenging with the new stand disruption and probably fewer weaker teams in the PL) - I’ll agree with you.

I believe Textor is major shareholder these days. Harris and Blitzer reduced their stakes - but still I guess they might think it's not worth the risk and make a signing or two. I'm guessing, just guessing, but I suspect we'll try to do stuff on the cheap and be linked to loans and half decent players all window, yet get forced into a big signing or two on deadline day. For the bare minimum of making sure we're not relegated you would think we need at least two players to hit the ground running. That means high level experience already. I'm also wondering if we will buy a goalie. I want to see our reaction to that.

Three seasons ago Palace put together the best squad we have ever had in the Premier. It was inches from becoming a top ten outfit, yet it still didn’t crack top ten.
That squad is now weaker than it was then, the only way it could ever have progressed was with further proper investment in usable players, in three windows ,the opposite has happened, to the degree that just two or three injuries and we not even capable competing consistently with clubs we have to beat to stay in the league. It’s gutting because we have six or seven first class players, and if they are fit to play an eleven that is still good enough, but the name of the game is numbers at this level because injuries are par for the course. No team could do what Palace have done and not expect trouble, but Palace have, Why? We were so near.

Hubris. Thinking that the modest outlay on players to which PV was a beneficiary of was enough to kick the can down the road for another season or two. Thinking that after 11 seasons in the PL we were a stable PL outfit. In reality the hard work has only just begun, particularly with the fanciful and totally deluded stated aim of going for a 10th plus placed finish this season. Oh dear, how quickly the wheels fell off that one.
Add to the list of poor decisions employing a manager known to prefer experienced players over youth, and yet at the same time shouting from the rooftops how great the new academy is, well is doesn't take much to imagine the inevitable outcome.
Add in a dash of disdain for the fanbase with unwise comments from the manager and you have a group of people running the club who are not in touch with reality.

Will happen this season unless 'Saviour' Steve breaks the habit of the last 2 years (Viera appointed Summer 2021) and properly strengthens with players to go straight into the starting XI rather than banging on about developing the main stand (pie in the sky) and the Academy (otherwise useful for next season in the Championship).

The bottom three are all showing signs of fight a determination and picking up points. We did show some fight yesterday and also at West Ham. And maybe Bournemouth are just a hot side at the moment. We could easily have beaten Everton on another day as well as Luton. What we do need is for our fortunes to change. A bit of luck can make a big difference. We have had no luck at all recently.

Agree 100%

Even if the owners didn't want to spend any money, we have 5 very valuable assets we can sell some of in the summer. It might limit us in the future again, but its better than relegation.

We will stay up no problem,Injuries will abate, new signing/s loans and we are hosting Luton Sheff.U. and Burnley.

And of course our home record this season is something to behold. I do think that we are better than those three teams, however we are having some rotten luck on and off the pitch with injuries. Our match day squad is down to less than the bare bones. We need a change of luck soon before this starts to become one of those relegation spirals. We were 40/1 to be relegated a few weeks ago. We are well into single figures now.

Attempting to compete in the league and having a go at getting European football. What other bottom half club have got players with the combined value and talent of doucoure, eze, olise, Andersen and Guehi. We all knew we had a great spine and it was clear where we needed to strengthen, we decided to stand still. No one could have forseen our luck with injuries but if we would have strengthened where needed then we wouldn't be worrying about relegation.

Without substantial new funds we will continue as we are regardless of who is manager.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

We must get someone with fresh ideas, clearly the system is not working and the results bare this out. Last week against the Cherries was so bad, I couldn't believe what I was watching, a lot said about Cooper but he too is under pressure at NF due to such a bad start.
Why don't we look at Graham Potter, did miracles at BHA. He is an ideal for a club the size of Palace. Chelsea was too big for him.
If Luton had beaten Man C, we would be looking down the end of the barrel!
With this team, where and when are we going to win a game.
One win at home all season - absolutely dreadful.
We did win at Man C with a Townsend scorcher, who says lightening doesn't strike twice!
Get GP installed before the Brighton game and give us something to shout about in 2024! Give Roy an honorary position at the Club.

We'll need several GPs installed for the BHA game. There'll be many a burst lung, aneurism and broken heart in the stands.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
