I for one will not gallivant down the 'Humour' alley at the end of the game if we are defeated tonight and any perspective will be sorely lacking ! I'd recommend, at your age Willo, not 'galivanting' anywhere! A gentle stroll should suffice. Edited by Nicholas91 (06 Dec 2023 3.27pm)
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

No he is not..!! So why not try Richards there - he can't possibly be any worse..!! If not try three at the back - just try something please, rather than this constant playing of known mediocrity in the vain hope that some day they will be better than they have been to date - it just ain't going to happen..!! COYP Wow, chill. Clyne?

Nothing changes does it….the same old moaners complaining about Hodgson and people such as me trying to make a case for his methods. So just to recap ; Roy reappointed in the full knowledge by Parish of his methods. You know, the methods that have historically kept us largely free from slipping into the relegation zone. Some on here used to moan that previous youngsters didn’t get a look in. And where are most of them now - either in the lower leagues or non league. Deemed not good enough by Hodgson and I think he’s been proven right. So I place my trust in the expert . Would I like to see my expansive football and young players coming through ? Of course I would. But it’s not going to happen anytime soon - suck it up !

I think tonight gave us some perspective. No attacking subs until the 86th minute when you're 0-1 down at home to a team below you. The players looked devoid of confidence and I think he's lost the team. Like Vieira last season sometimes a change of manager is needed just to bring some fresh ideas and energy. In fact this reminded me of Vieira's last game when we looked good for 10 minutes and then collapsed. If Roy wasn't a local lad with a history with the club no-one would be advocating him remaining.

When you consider that we spent £20 million on a reserve keeper who has a history of serious injuries, £20 million on a Brazilian who is clearly only good enough for the youth team and £5 million on a 6th centre half just because we could sign him it’s a joke. Look at the major holes in the team and we have jizzed away £45 million on what exactly. It’s insanity Edited by BelfastEagle (06 Dec 2023 9.51pm)

Also, did you see Roy's comments about the youth players we've signed? He's worried they might get hurt feelings if they make a mistake. Yes. They will make mistakes, but how do they learn if they don't play? We know Schlupp is rarely good enough. We know Hughes can't run. We know Ward is too slow, can't pass and can't cross. If the senior players aren't performing then you need to at least try and change something. Roy won't. Parish and Bright did not look happy at the end of the game.

Bright looked pee'd off. Parish looked like he was checking emails.
