We wont get relegated as there are worst teams than us, but we are so lacking in quality up front, i dont expect us to buy anyone in Jan, but i expect at least 2/3 loans, Roy is looking his age, why we dont try some youngsters, it has always been Roy's one downfall, under 21s beat Man city 3-0 yesterday, must be some decent enough to bring into the first team.

City's actual U21 team are all out on loan playing proper football, and that's without considering the £40m they got this summer for selling Trafford, Forbs and Charles.

We beat their U21 B team - I don't think it's that impressive.

I think we’ve been playing quite well. Ayew has been immense. I think Hughes probably needs to up his game, both defending and going forward. Neither keeper has had much to do.

Just for balance, for all the talk on here that West ham have dominated us, the telly have just shown a stat that we've had 11 touches of the ball in their box, whereas they've had one in ours.

We are labouring in possession but our best midfielders are out, and we are having to play a defender in midfield.

On a separate topic, interesting that West ham midfielders seem able to trip our players from behind to protect the counter attack and only get booked on a one in three ratio. Even meatloaf did better than that.

It’s very difficult with only 9 men.. Lerma is totally anonymous and effective, and Edouard- well, enough said.

I suppose one can assert that we are still in the game at 1-0.

I hope he subs Hughes and brings on Ahamada - we need some spice going forward.

I can't help feeling a different manager would have alternatives
when we are struggling but RH seems stuck in his ways.

The goal is really poor. Ward-Prowse is alone in the QB position spraying the pass, Kudus is making a run forward, and our 3 central midfielders are stood holding hands between the two of them neither tracking runners nor applying pressure.

That's 'cos he'd do anything for love, but he wouldn't do that...

That's not right - both are trying. Can't pick on those two.

The main reason we are looking rubbish is that we have two defensive mids and a ch in midfield and they haven't made a tackle between them

Not sure what you are expecting Edouard to do.

People like to moan about him but I say this every time you don't score 6 goals in 12-13 games for a team like Palace and are useless or rubbish if we was getting proper service/support I expect he would be standing out more in positive way.

Lerma was let go for free why was that it's showing why he needs other quality around him and again the system is so poor you do not get to see players strengths.

SOme one else mentioned Ward Prowse he is a quality player we should be paying attention to again system at fault and that guy cost only 30m why we didn't try to get him is shocking.

Conceding goals in the Prem is inevitable, but we have been letting in too many poor ones lately.
More importantly, we have not replaced the goals that Zaha provided. With our current injuries, both problems are made worse.

This game just highlights our lack of penetration. We move the ball too slowly and no real goal threat.

Signings in January are looking like a must.
