Seven years of maintaining the vote should never have happened, was wrong and should be reversed? I suspect one point has been proved. That though was not the criteria you said applied! You said they were people who regarded leavers as stupid, who used populist rhetoric and implied racist attitudes. I said it was just a pejorative term. I rather think my point has been proven.

I care very much about trade deals, that work. Not ones which merely confirm whatever is already in place, or are heavily weighted in favour of the other side and agreed by us merely to show we are doing something. Show me one deal which has been agreed post Brexit which is to our benefit and not one which gives access to our market by others. There is already evidence that leaving has been harmful and no evidence to suggest that will change. Proving a negative cannot be done but logic can be applied and there is nothing positive to be found anywhere. No one wants anything “for their own ends”! What a ridiculous insult that is. It’s only for the future of our country, our children and grandchildren that we fight to make the case to rejoin. Not to reverse Brexit or the referendum. They are history. No, this is about looking forward, not back. Not to reverse Brexit but to rejoin the EU. That's some endorsement of the vote.

If it wasn't so tragic, and making us all poorer by the day, it'd be quite funny how the position of Brexiters is now that the impact of Brexit can't be judged so soon, or that the economic impact can't be assessed yet, or that it's not the right kind of Brexit to work, or that it's remainers' fault that we a got a Brexit which isn't working. According to the liars that pushed it, Brexit was meant to be cheaper food, cheaper bills, sunlit uplands, and pots of gold for all of us to enjoy, all whilst being lucky enough to keep the ability to live, work and trade freely with the EU. It was a scam. If a country is stupid enough to voluntarily remove itself from the world's biggest trading block, making all aspects of travel, migration and trade harder with that block, it's not going to end well. We will be back in the EU when the subject of doing so becomes less politically hot. The number of rejoiners, regretters and young people that never got to vote back in 2016 are growing in significant numbers, and politicians delaying the inevitable, knowing the harm that it's doing to us all is negligent.

Imagine a bloke using the term ‘remoaner’ in 2023 accusing others of being ‘so partisan their view is tainted.’

All opinions welcome, can you support any with facts? Let's start with " all of us poorer by the day ".
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Leaver is the antonym of remainer, which is a different word to remoaner. Edited by HKOwen (05 Sep 2023 3.30am)

Young people voting could be used after every election and ‘may’ have swung the vote either way. There is always a legal age to vote every time. Why should this be different.

Whats Brexit
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Not to reverse Brexit but to rejoin the EU. That's some endorsement of the vote. It isn’t intended to be. That vote is done. I didn’t endorse it then but it is now of no importance. We are where we are. The question is now where we need to be.
