Under normal circumstances, coming on as a sub in injury time, it's difficult to see what impact you can make. Under the new dispensation, with games ending after 105 minutes, you've every chance to make your mark! He seems to be ahead of Ebiowei, whatever.

Agreed. He ain’t ready for PL yet from what I’ve seen. The best outcome is a season on loan in the Championship with a team he will start in each week. If he can swim at that level, he’d be worth a go next season. I’d be keen on Iheanacho, clear upgrade on Edouard. Perhaps there’s a way we can send him to Leicester on loan for a season as part of a deal. The same Eduoard who's just bagged, what is it, 5 in 7 for us?

At the start of the season Olise was injured and it appears was Ebiowei was also out. That sort of left Ayew to play this role with no back up. Hence why Rak-Sakyi was not loaned out.

I hope Rak-Sakyi rips Manure apart on Tuesday and then gets a good run in the starting 11

Didn't Olise just recently do his hamstring again in training? I hope you're right but I fear he'll miss half this season.

He needs to take a few risks to try and stand out. He often seems to play it safe and doesn't have that swagger that tricky wingers often have. If he wants to crack the first XI he needs to make a statement as it seems so far Roy hasn't been overly impressed.

The issue we has is he is probably not ready yet for PL football. But given our embarrassing depth he's had to stick around vs going on out on loan. A lose lose for player and club. We'll get to Christmas and he would have made a handful of 2 min appearance, vs 15/20 games.

With games now lasting an extra 10 minutes that will give him 20 minutes. Bringing him on in the 95th minute is surely just a waste.

I can totally understand a leaning more towards not making a fool of yourself or doing anything that could be labelled disastrous but I would rather see him empowered to just 'give it a go' and play with a bit of wild freedom, released from the anxiety of duty.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
