The reality is, Tyrick has never been that good. Seems like a nice enough, grounded chap. But his England call seemed extremely premature to me. Reasonable at 1v1 defending...that's about it. Offers precious little going forward...gets caught out of position regularly in crosses and so on. Hopefully Hall will be a significant upgrade this season.

With Mahrez gone, in terms of a better outcome for Olise' I agree with you, however if we look at what's best for Palace (assuming that we don't get to keep Olise') on a "club to club" level we have had a lot more out of Chelsea in recent years in terms of loan co operation than we have ever had out of Man City- I cant remember a single player that we have ever had from them. Before I am shot down in flames I am not suggesting for a second that us giving Chelsea loan players "game time" hasn't been good for Chelsea as a club too, both sides have benefitted. All I am saying is - "big picture", if we do have to lose Olise it might be better for the club to deal with Chelsea than Man City. Originally posted by jabber

Danny Graville came from city and Malcolm Allison brought in Derek Jeffries and Jeff Johnson. Lee Bradbury? Might as well make the most of them because we're unlikely to get any of their current crop for a while.

Fair points…Loftus Cheek, Batshuayi, Gallagher and potentially Hall to name but a few.

Still several training sessions between now & the weekend, he may well get injured anyway. Originally posted by beak
