Despite everyone shouting Eze, Eze, Eze, it is Olise, for me, who is the real diamind.

Please don't let it be true that we'll sell him.

His value, imo. should be on the 60-70m mark

Andersen, Guehi, Doucoure and now Olise. Really hope that the club keep them all and if not, put a price tag on them that makes headlines.
When it comes to Olise, he is for me as well, the true diamond of the lot. What a player, what a personality!

Must say i would be amazed if the links with Chelsea or City are true given how serious his injury is. Any operation on a hamstring injury is bad news , surprised if we see him before October and there is always the chance that it will leave a weakness in the muscle, cannot believe either club would take that chance

Lol. Just look at the s***e Chelsea spent 1/2 a billion on last year. A 35 mil punt on Olise is neither here nor there to either of them.

I wonder if this has been on the cards for a while and might be why Jesrun is getting game time with the first team and not loaned out so far.

Selling Olise when we have just lost Zaha would be a disaster.

It's hard to be positive about the club when all the news is about players leaving.

I like him as a player, but I haven't detected much in the way of 'personality' in him.

I think for any young footballer, petulance and arrogance on the pitch, crashing supercars, celebrating in a manner to make a Tik Tok clip, getting thrown out of drinking venues and involved in a sex scandal counts as 'personality' these days. Just by way of not doing those things Olise has a very unique 'personality'.

Also, the sultry, sulking, brooding Frenchman is a look someone had to bring back after Anelka brutally murdered it. I also quite like the fact he has moments of sheer brilliance without looking as though it comes with any great effort, a good tell of class.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Usually we are all negative because our players aren't good enough for other clubs to be interested in them. Now we are all unhappy because a number of our players ARE good enough for other clubs to be interested in them.

For a club of our size and status, this is how it will always be, I'm afraid. Any half-decent player we develop will be coveted by those with more money than we have, and who seem to be allowed to maintain squads big enough to run their own league. The challenge for us, therefore, is to have replacements lined up, either through the market or through the junior ranks. Unfortunately I fear that we have no such contingencies.

Was unaware and disappointed to find out that apparently he has a release clause of around 35m in his contract. I hope that has some limitations as in not being valid at the end of the window as one of the big boys surely will snap him up for that fee.

I always thought he looked like a Man City player in the making and he is basically a direct replacement for Mahrez with similar attributes. If he went there I wouldn't begrudge him. Chelsea is still a bit of an unknown quantity with a stockpile of wingers and no European football. He could easily get lost in the pile.

If there's no clause we have to dig in as we can't afford to lose Zaha and Olise in the same window. He seems like a young man who is sensible and intelligent enough to know he can wait another year. He doesn't strike me as someone who would throw his toys out the pram if we refused to sell. If there's a release clause the best we can do is offer him a better deal, which may be what happens.

It would be very disappointing to also lose Olise after Zaha, if this is true. I thought they had also last year been renegotiating his contract to get rid of the release clause?

But still we paid £8m. £39m still represents a good profit and if they can throw in one of their youngsters like Lewis Hall on a season long loan then that looks like pretty good business.

35 million looks a bit on the low side. We took a gamble on a Championship player and it’s worked out well, let’s not sell ourselves short. We need to test how keen Chelsea are, bit weird they released him when he was 14 years old, funny old game!
