As the election draws closer the same old Labour party issue of funding will be front and centre. At the height of Corbyn mania the membership went up to around 400K at which point funding from unions represented 33% of revenue. Membership now 260K and some major union donors have already given notice of reduced funding. Fun fact, Labour spent more in the last election than the conservatives mainly due to expensive poster/billboard campaign.
The recent strikes across all sectors; some state some private ( trains etc) didn’t and arnt getting the normal left wing backing when not in power. I suspect this could be that labour just might think they could get in to power and have to put their money where their mouth is. Caught between a rock and a hard place, or turning into Tory light; although even they’re not exactly right!

The bottomless money pit of windfall tax and non dom status will be unable to actually fund their spending plans IMO.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
