And this new breed of palace fans are throwing their toys out of their pram! If you actually read the posts from those that don't revere Parish as a god you will see that they are anything but a "new breed" of fan as most have supported the club for many, many years

Parish should stop all the social media c**p, when things are going well. He was one of 4 who saved the club. Does this exempt him from criticism indefinitely? Not in my book. I never said he was immune to criticism or that he wasn't to blame at all for our current situation and it's pure speculation to say we've missed out on buyers. Maybe we have but doesn't seem to be any sniff of it on here or in the press in the past. If someone really wanted to force Parish out, I would of thought they would go public to put pressure on him to sell and disappointingly, I've not seen anything like that. Point I was trying to make is that, IMHO, he's not done a bad job leading up to this season. However, to say we didn't need to bring anyone in during the January windows was ridiculous and not saying I agree with every decision that has been made, but on the balance of things I think the club is in a better place than when he started. Just seems like a lot of fans are saying "Parish out" without any suggestion about who or what would follow. I'd love a backer with billions to come in, push Parish out and wave a magic wand and voila, new ground and a better squad, but there ain't one yet, so once Parish has been pushed out, what happens next? Pretty sure someone would need to buy his stake from him to get him out right? If not, who could we bring in that would be odds on to do a better job? This ain't like replacing the manager or wondering why Riedewald is still here. What happens next? Interesting that some have pointed out we're the 26th richest club in the world, didn't know that!, but could someone who understands these things, tell me what that equates to in terms of money we could use to invest? I found the clubs financial summary (below) which gives high level figures, but would be interested to know if this proves anything about how Parish is running the club and if he is pocketing money that could be used to get in better players. If it proves that he's running the club financially as his own piggybank or the finances are going on stuff that it shouldn't, then yeah, something needs to be done.
The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots |

With respect he never asserted that there was no need to strengthen the squad. His message was that it is a difficult market in January and the likelihood was that two loanees would be brought to the club, however he did not discount the prospect of a permanent addition.

Come on HF show some balls and sort this protest out against Parrish and the board. You lot act all hard dressing like ultras with your flares but are too scared to upset Parrish because you wont get favours off him with seating behind the goal. So come on grow a pair HF and do something worthwhile instead of copying the Italian Ultra groups who are actually any good.

With the utmost respect I would far rather efforts were directed at supporting the team both visually and vocally rather than create an atmosphere of negativity and animus. “The January window is hard. There are one or two things we’d like to do, probably more loans than buys. We would really look to the summer to do anything major. We have a good squad, I think the players are very good, and I think we have a good points tally.

Parish has to realize being a champ chairman is not the same as a prem chairman... he's out of his depth... he needs to let it go. Yup, one bad season out of 10 is good, but ain't so good if it means relegation... If I were parish - sell his share for exactly how much he bought it for, i.e - take the money back, maybe give himself a golden handshake.. and then pump the money back into palace... How much you reckon he would get back for his shares?
This was once a quality forum.... |
