Clearly,PV, would have taken us down as lacking in management experience ,one dimensional and no vision.
Agreed, had a good first season, but was unable to cope when the pressure mounted and together with Roberts, showed more interest in his weight gaining dietary needs with ingestion of pies, than planning a strategy to evade the drop.
A walking disaster replicating his time at Nice.

100% ! Had been always on the cards, although everybody hoped to be proved wrong.

I don't see the point at particularly having a go at PV or particularly thanking him. We were happy enough, we tailed off. He lasted a while and was sacked. He's got some learning to do and this is all part of it. I believe he had around the average time for a Premier League manager.
My guess is that he will manage in France, and I wish him the best of luck.
Had he actually presided over taking us down, things may have been different. As it is he went when needed and he seemed to know it was on the cards.

Just rejoice he has gone, and look forward, now he has, to another year in the premiership.

I'd put money on Vieira being back in the PL managing by the end of next season. The speed at which clubs are changing manager it seems almost inevitable; just look at Dean Smith, Javi Garcia and Lampard. None of them found success in the PL but all back in it. Also, I don't personally think his time with us will hurt his chances that much. He can point to the first 18 months and what he achieved, including an FA Cup semi-final, our first positive goal difference and transitioning to a more entertaining brand of football. The terrible football seen since Christmas will probably be chalked off, rightly or wrongly, to the fixture list and our lack of investment.

Wrongly.
Just look at what a decent Manager,Roy, can achieve with exactly the same squad.

I would love to know what our players thought of him, the shackles seem to be off now which never seemed to be the case with Roy before maybe paddy has been a positive influence this time round as his one game in charge against arsenal showed that
