Only thing saving us from a hammering is they have a CL game Tuesday night & might take their foot off when they are 3-0 up

Nothing to lose. But double over Manchester Teams to gain. Are there any bookies who will take a 9-0 to Palace bet?

There's one round the back of the Maudsley that might.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I have been banging on for the past 12 months of the need for strikers otherwise we will be facing relegation.
We are getting midfield players by the ton but not a decent striker. Surely the club can seen this. We should have got the Coventry lad in the last window, instead we get an unknown midfielder from Arsenal and another foreign chap who can't get in the first 11. Now we're complaining about the lack of goals, and the ones we score in our own net! We needed a full back and Spence would have been a great buy, and yet he goes abroad.
Why aren't we looking at Tierney from Arsenal?
The 2 strikers we have are just Championship players at the best.
They make Benteke look good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Teams around us are winning games and slowing reducing the 6 point gap. It will be a battle to stay up as confidence levels must be at an all time low. Sorry to say, Brighton are in another league and they will show it when they beat us in a couple of weeks - sorry lads!

Bet365 have us to win 3-0 126 to 1, wont take more than 3
Man City 8-0 401 to 1, 7-0 126 to 1, 8 is the highest on offer,
if we lose 1-7 its 201 to 1 more than 0-7

We will be 3 nil down by halftime and I can get the bus home early
But the optimist of being a palace fan we will hang on score 1 and win and my love affair with my club will carry on 😊

It’s difficult to argue with any of this. Gyökeres and Hamer have had excellent seasons for Coventry and I was surprised we didn’t put in a bid for the former.

Ahamada doesn’t look that great and as you say a full back and striker must have been high up our agenda, but who knows, we seem to be good at ignoring gaping holes in our team.

I don’t think PV is getting the correct determination and commitment from his players and this reflects as badly on him as it does them.

Sorry, forgot to give my prediction which is that we will lose, probably 2-0.

Gyokeres was signed from Brighton for I believe £1.1 Mill.Coventry will demand a fee that could well be prohibitive to us.

In terms of Hamer, Coventry tracked him for 18 months, before signing him from PEC Zwolle for a fee up to £2 Mill.
He is certainly no stranger to cards, collecting 24 yellows and a red in his previous 2 seasons. This season he has collected 3 yellows and 2 reds.

On the subject of Coventry, praise must go to manager Mark Robins for his admirable work at the club taking them from Division Two to the Championship.

Ahamada has played about 30 minutes in a new league and people are already saying he doesn't look good enough! Give the kid a chance. I think the club probably knew he wasn't going to jump straight in hence why we also signed Lokonga. Ahamada is very quick which is a big asset at this level. Clearly he is not the solution to our goal scoring problem though.
