Schlupp obviously used his good performance for the season at Old Trafford. He's gone back to jogging around watching the game. Eze might not run around much either but at least he can pass the ball. Ayew is scrapping, but obviously the fact he poses zero threat remains an issue.

Hughes putting in a big-hearted performance. Shame the referees only book Palace players, as the booking probably takes the edge off his game. Doucoure needs to wake up as he's been caught on the ball a couple of times.

Overall I'd say you can't fault the commitment of most of the players, but the quality isn't there. Nothing is sticking to Mateta and it's a serious issue. Edouard is not really the answer either. Thanks to VAR we're still in this, but only just.

Yep I'm ashamed to say that I actually envy Brighton.. Their recruitment is fantastic. They recruit quality players without paying silly money. Their managerial choices are great with managers that play quality football.. We are miles behind them sadly.
