striking is considered the last resort. The working persons withdrawal of labour. And They lose pay because of it.

Attempting to manage a workforce under prevailing economic conditions is a huge crock of festering 5hlt. And who is the cause of this ?

Well I suppose a principle is a principle, it's not without cost to those holding it. Though I would say that the railway is a very well paid job as it is.

The NHS not so much. I have more sympathy for them and how clap for the carers is a teary eyed national pursuit until they actually want to be adequately rewarded for saving lives. If I'm going to open my wallet to anyone, it's someone who endevours to keep my heart beating.
