It'll be interesting to see how Iliman Ndiaye does against England today. Having a good season at Sheff United (has filled the void left by Gibbs-White) and now featuring in the World Cup just a few seasons after non-league football.

Sheff Utd signed him from Boreham Wood.
Quick feet, works hard and is an adept carrier of the ball.

Olympique Lyonnais, commonly referred to as simply Lyon or OL, is a men and women's French professional football club based in Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The men play in France's highest football division, Ligue 1. Founded in 1950, the club won its first Ligue 1 championship in 2002, starting a national record-setting streak of seven successive titles. Lyon has also won eight Trophées des Champions, five Coupes de France, and three Ligue 2 titles

The essence of my comment was that Lyon were happy to loan Andersen out to Fulham, with an option to buy, and we signed him on the back of a relegation at Fulham so we were not in some major competition with bigger clubs for his signature.

There was reported interest from United at the time. So I'm told. They opted to pursue Varane in the end, whom I'm led to believe is a France international previously under contract at Real Madrid, an elite club in the top Spanish division La Liga. I believe this league was established in 1929 when...

He's the kind of player that would probably fit into our current squad and be relatively cheap. As long as he doesn't play a blinder. I could imagine him having a release clause - just a guess. If players fancy themselves, they often put in a Premier League side release clause - ala Olise.

that Bellingham looks a player. Only 19 so would fit perfectly into the PV plan. A cheeky £10m bid before the big boys become aware of him??

There is another Bellingham coming through the ranks at Birmingham. Jude's younger brother

A long standing joke in our family has now arisen from my Dad's assertion that De Jong looked like a good player for Ajax and we should look at him, almost exactly just after Barcelona tabled a 75mil euro bid for him. My brother has never let him live that down.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We have Riedewald, so he would be surplus to our requirements.

Sosa has looked good at LB for Croatia - not featuring today due to sickness.

After a quick google it appears he might have bigger admirers... however if their interest didn't come to fruition he could probably be prised away from Stuttgart.

Honestly the days of uncovering gems at a WC are pretty much done - the depth of scouting globally now is ridiculous, and when you factor in all of the digital analysis that can be done remotely, there is not going to be anyone playing at such a big tournament who has not already been looked at.

Players can certainly put themselves in the shop window, and fans might get some exposure to players they didn't know, but there will be no surprises to the Prem clubs really.

Juranovic at Right Back has been superb for Croatia so far.

Get Edouard on the blower. Although, shouldn't take much convincing to leave Glasgow for London!
