Looks to me like he trying to implement the system he wants to play with players not 100% suited to that system. I also think he believes he can mould the players to the system. But I still reckon he sees the need for at least another midfielder. Or he wouldn;t keep swapping Olise/Ayew/Schlupp..

It's a Tough ask, but I think he's looked at The squad, tried to fit all the best attackers in, and come up with That system. only he's looking for the last midfielder

probably only Doucoure.

Good attacking football and , generally, exciting games. Not ‘anti football’ as it was for a while. 2 wins, a draw and defeat in the last 4 , with Southampton next, not the end of the world. This time last season jimmy Mac and Connor were amazing, neither available. I do wonder why Kouyate was allowed to leave and Luka stay, but not sure if that was down to PV. Im a lot happier than I was when he took the job, think he’s doing alright. .

Zaha getting the best numbers in ages. Decoure looks very good.
I’m actually enjoying going to Palace at the moment. Good attacking football and , generally, exciting games. Not ‘anti football’ as it was for a while.

Because we are not going to get anywhere if sack every manager after a bad game.

And outside of a managers performance there are so many other things that impact a teams performance. Like the fact that we have bare bones squad. No proven CF, patched up right backs. And more pertinent for the last game, no decent midfield replacement if CK is out.

We need to look at the direction of travel, and from my view its amazing. We've got a team starting to evolve the way they play football, some exciting young players, a manger who can attract great talent. Then on top of that we've got a brilliant new academy and go ahead on the new stand.
