There are a couple of great captain cooks called Britslang and Cockney Rabbit. I happen to know the author is a Palace fan.

Here is one to ponder on.
" Hovis " was sometimes used by on course bookmakers
and their staff. A mixture of rhyming slang and costermonger
slang may provide the answer.

Just a few I've used over the years, and still do........ 1. Eartha Kitt, 5hit. 2. Deaf and Dumb, Bum. 3. Pie n Mash, Slash. 4. Gipsys Kiss, Pi55. 5. Jack n Danny, Fanny Just a few in my very eloquent vocabulary, can't think of any more at the moment.One more 6. Granny Grunt, you can work that one out, easy.
