Yeah, it's off. Obviously didn't fancy playing us without a manager. Or without a rail service...

It’s a set up. Train strikes announced about 5 weeks ago so absolutely no excuse. Sussex Plod have got their way. Might find a few knuckle dusters midweek Don't be an absolute pillock... the Prem.League take a lot of persuading to allow a postponement (particularly with a World Cup starting in November) and how exactly am I supposed to get from East Croydon to Falmer with no trains running?

How were Newcastle getting to Bournemouth, or Leicester to spurs or Man City to wolves or Cardiff to Huddersfield or Blackpool to millwall. It’s not all about terry ven!

Needs to be 're-arranged' for 17th. Crazy not to. No game the following week for either team. We will have a midseason break in September.

We have a government ministerial department for Digital, Media, Culture & Sport - With the Queen being 96 years old, how did they not have a laid down plan in place (what protocol to follow) in the event of her passing - Kicking the can down the road & leaving it up to the respective sports bodies to decide which events take place really seems poor management - I can understand there being some upheaval with the change of PM happening only a few days before & the new Secretary of state for that department only taking office on the 6th September but if there was not a plan in place this would have been a great opportunity to grasp the nettle as it were & ultimately its not as though the opposition were in charge in the days before requiring a completely fresh take on the unfolding situation.

If train strike off next weekend (which was announced 3 days ago) why isn’t Brighton game reinstated? It’s as if this guys look for reasons not to play games.
The beatings will stop when morale improves. |

Just had a quick look on NSC there is no firm favourite to take over at Brighton (amongst the fans that is). Also most seem happy not to play us, I wonder why.

I doubt the game will be reinstated for Sep 17th Policing resources will be the issue now. And for that reason I think any London based fixtures could get canned next weekend as crowds descend upon the capital.

Can they accommodate the London games? Probably not. But they need to announce it soon if that is the case. Other sports don't have so many police in attendance.

They should really put this back on but I guess they won't now.
Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature. The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace. |
