So many subs, we have lost our shape. Ferguson was lucky to stay on the pitch after that lunge at the ball.

We were great for a while and they were crap. Signs our pre-season has gone well. Thought we played out a bit quicker and pressed harder and faster in the first half.
Then we gifted two easy goals and looked too stretched in the second half. Ferguson didn't get injured but looked poor. The subs were nowhere near as good as the starting 11. Why don't we work on wide set pieces? It's just silly at this point. We don't have a clue from Free kicks and not much better from corners. Yet, our wingers win free kicks all day. Frustrating. Get someone in to coach set pieces.

Yes, last one before the Arse. Not sure we should still be experimenting.

Getting a bit with Ayew running around in circles with the ball until he falls over. Allows the other team time to drop back behind the ball and organise themselves. Totally counter-productive from the Palace point of view.

Just back. First half we were very good. Eze and Zaha especially. Edouard also looked sharp. Doucoure is a modern day Vieira. Totally dominated the middle of the park.
We were 4-0 up when we did a big swap of players and they scored 2. Just shows what a fine line it is these days.

Yup, good easy summing up. Just back ourselves(UK), Doucoure is . . . Wow, allows Eze to actually play & link up, whether with Wilf OR Ayew, it worked. Impressed with Edouard today took his goals well, especially his 2nd(our 3rd), JPM when he came on is a a handful, totally different players tho. I seriously hope Wilf has his demons out of his system, otherwise, Red Card 1st game(imo).

The 2nd half went as we all thought it would, cr@p. Luka, why? really, just why? 1 great pass, 20 cr@p ones(when he even could be bothered to actually go for them). Richards actually looked very comfortable alongside Guehi, Fergie not so at LB. Like Plange out on the left(a left-sided version of Ayew).

All in all, a good run out for the combined squads(ish). Be interesting to see starting line-up on Fri night. Enjoy your w/e HOLer's, it'll be the last one you get before May 28th(?).

Wish I could have watched the game, but the highlights and comments fill me with hope. How important it will be for Eze, Wilf, and Doucouré to remain healthy...

As an aside, did anyone else think that the Montpellier goalkeeper looked off? Omlin has a good reputation, but today he seemed a bit slow and indecisive.

For the Montpellier 2nd goal, the scorer completely unmarked by the Palace LB.

Good to see Oddity get a couple.
