Great to see our youngsters put on a very good showing and putting United's second stringers in the shade.

Youngsters showed spirit and fight. Ayew should be put out to pasture or sold for the 50p he's worth.
If we lose but give 100%, then applaud, applaud and, applaud again. |

Handball, 1-0, offside in 3 phases, 2-0, hope we're being paid a fortune to play these friendlies. Shocking officials. With VAR the game finishes 1-1, not that it matters. We looked like a second-string team in the first half and United never really got out of second gear. The best thing you can say is that the youngsters look exciting if raw and they looked better than United's prospects during that brief spell. It must be frustrating for Vieira as these games are really only getting players fit as I don't see Phillips, Rak-Sakyi or even Luka playing more than a minor role next season and Ward only plays centre-back if we're desperate. On a more positive note, based on that showing I think Ebiowei may play a role in the first team quicker than I had imagined, especially if Olise isn't fit. Quick, direct, good feet, strong and has a shot on him; what's not to like?! If Plange continues where he left off from Saturday tonight then we have some serious competition on the wings.

Me neither but the powers that be will be happy when they're counting the money from it. Apart from earning a few bob, and exposing the young players to the big time, this all seems senseless to me. For sixty minutes in both games we were used as a punch bag by two really strong outfits. Some of the youngsters were outstanding, one or two outstanding in that company, and all gave a good account against their own level.

Considering the Team they had out and what we had out it was a decent performance, put the two teams together and its a good squad the young purchases look good, Can anyone see a role for Edouard, think we should move him on or swap him before he is worthless.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Great effort from the youngsters and 2 or 3 could be hovering around the first team this season with others to follow. Other than that, the two games so far, have reminded me of going to see the Harlem Globetrotters. In that we were the "other" team set up lose for the enjoyment of the crowd.

What is the sanction (if any) for a red/yellow card received in a friendly played in a foreign land? Does it count against the player in UK competitions?

I'd rather keep Edouard than Ayew... Can't believe we've given him another years contract. I thought he was a disgrace today and very lucky not to of been sent off.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
