I have zero problem with players or managers/officials defending themselves.

This idea that you have to be a 'Billy Sharp' because someone will object otherwise is nonsense.

Totally agree Stirling, put the muppet in an empty room with Patrick and see who comes out on top.

It's an annoying loss alright. This is Palace though, the team of annoying losses. I would have decked anyone doing that to me, probably much quicker than Viera did, so I can't blame him. Trial by media will ensue, no doubt. It's probably the only thing on Sky Sports News.

I think things have gone a little bit too far with Everton and the way they are treated by the press. What took place after their third goal was nothing less than a pitch invasion with dangerous conduct towards players and coach of the opponents. Lets not forget the number of yellow cards they were awarded in the last couple of matches(at least two less than their opponents). I can understand that Everton are a historical team but then the English Premier League are recognized all over the world as the most fair football league in the world. Is it?

So a small minded bigot picked a fight with PV and lost. Three days hence PV will be receiving a standing ovation, The Evertonian will be looking at a scousers lot, prison and the dole. Justice and Karma all rolled into one.

But then, after a lengthy and relentless campaign involving leftie luvvies and the mayor of a large metropolis, he will eventually be proven to have been innocent and in need of an apology.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Agreed.

The team have deserved the plaudits but we have also thrown away lots of points this season and that shouldn't be dismissed.

Agreed, that fan deserved 'feedback'.

It's always a few and not most....in the footage most were willing to defend Patrick once they understood what was going on.

I don't like seeing away managers alone walking in a sea of excided fans in pitch invasions like that.....there's always one somewhere.

I can't help thinking that last night wasn't just points thrown away - more like the whole match was thrown.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Nothing wrong with Pitch invasions per se, but it's a symptom of the hooliganism ethos that still exists in the Fans consciousness - The same hooliganism ethos that creates many a great atmosphere. Some may call it 'passion', but a 'Passionate' individual does not act like a complete reprobate.

There is no reason to abuse or someone like that fan abused Vieira last night, and I'm not surprised he reacted. Quite rightly Vieira should be punished, but his punishment should pale into insignificance when compared to the punishment that should be dished out to that 'fan', and to Everton as a club.

That fan needs fining, and Banning for all football events - maybe even a prison sentence/suspended sentence. You need to come down hard, and say that this Is not acceptable. Everton should be fined, and as A previous chap said, ban the fans for the next game.

Celebrate all you like, but I just don't get why it has to be a Mob. Celebrate your Teams successes with your Team, simply no need
to talk to the opposition.

Reminds me of the bell end who deliberately annoyed the hell out of Mike Tyson on a plane last month while his equally dick brainer mate filmed it on his phone. Mike finally lost it and slapped him around a tiny bit and the next clip is him looking at the camera showing the bruises on his face feeling sorry for himself.

In both situations when you mess with the bull you get the horns

Some people shouldn’t be allowed to have camera phones tbh

I do t think so. Pickford saved a 3rd and we did try to score more. Lacked some steel and experience to guide the lads on the pitch. And that’s where we need to strengthen. Centre of the midfield. It wasn’t a normal match and a normal 0-2 lead. They were always going to give everything possible in the situation they and the fans were in. I am suspicious of theEverton v Chelsea match and the Leicester one a little though. Never forget Hans Segers looking at his gloves as the goals went in on the last day. My god Everton is run poorly.

What? like they did with Billy Sharp's attacker?

Right-wing paranoia. Give it a rest, please.
