Odd if true as I thought his contract would be up in two years? Quite frankly if we got him on a two-year loan then that would be a great deal with little risk. You have to ask though, have so many players been ruined by one team in such a short space of time?

It all depends on the available budget, and our ability to get rid of unwanted players and not give new contracts to the wrong players, Clyne was M.O.M against Southampton, i think him and Ward could do another season if the budget is small. Loan to Buy over ywo years would be a good deal if it was about 15m, paid at the end

I would imagine that someone in Dougies position (after what is probably a fairly steep learning curve) does a lot of work behind the scenes with only a couple of relatively short transfer windows where its possible to see if anything is actually going to come to fruition, the last summer transfer window was the first that I can remember where we actually seemed to be in control - proactive rather than reactive, I am certainly hopeful that we can have a similar outcome this summer - if that includes AWB then that would be good too because it would indicate that we have got him at a deal that we can live with.

A two year loan with an option to buy would seem like an excellent piece of business.

In two years time Nathan Ferguson may be able to walk on to the pitch, or is that a bit extreme?

Not extreme at all. But how many years will it be before he can run on the pitch, tackle, pass, actually play football?!

I have my doubts about this.If the media for once is correct then Palace need to sort his attitude out. Are we sure this is the right thing to do ? No room for sentimental thoughts

Question for me is whether he'd get in over Clyne at the moment. Clyney's one of our own too and getting better with every game. Better going forward too for me. Think at the minute I'd go with Clyney.

I think whatever we do, we need to recognise that Wardy is now past his best. Cannot pass a ball for toffee and gets caught out positionally all too easily these days.

I agree about Clyne. Would welcome AWB back but am concerned about his wages
