It's a bleedin' ENORMOUS stadium - there's room for everyone's displays and more...........

Yeah, them two cocks that time were fantastic.

Hear Hear

I really do not see why the club are being criticised for their displays.
I applaud the HF for their all their displays involving a great deal of effort and of course expenditure but they do not have a monopoly of displays in a stadium.
There is room for an array of displays and the more CPFC displays the better.

The last time the HF organised the eagle and the foil looking red and blue surround in the lower section was impressive. However, as I now have a ticket in the upper section, I truly hope the HF display extends to this area also. If not, I really don’t care what is displayed in the upper section, as long as we are all involved supporting the thing that unites us all, our love of Palace. We really should be concentrating on outdoing the Chelsea support, not each other, to show that having all the money in the world, still doesn’t better the support of the real people at the heart of our club.

The HF banners are part and parcel of the Holmesdale end and our previous if rare visits to Wembley . I might be wrong but wasn't there some sort of conflab in 2016 ?

If not there should be , the last thing we want is some lame message from the club/FA instead of the usually brilliant HF banners .

The spotty teenagers have been getting their own way for way too long. The last trip to Wembley even got them exclusive tickets behind the goal so they could all sit together.
No one is stopping them have their own banners. They are not the banner police. They need to pipe down, realise they are no more important than any other Palace fan, get on with what they are doing and stop looking at what others do.
Next thing you know they'll be taking flags off little kids because its 'not the Palace way" Jeez!

Not only that, but it should be, "the club PLANS to display ITS" and not "the club PLAN to display THEIR".

Truly shocking.

I agree, this doesn't look bad. Shame it wasn't shared with those putting in massive efforts on a fans' display. Hope it proves to be in keeping with that.

To be fair if this is what they are doing in the ground, a 'South London and Proud' graphic either side of the screen they are hardly going all out, or doing anything that is getting in the way of hte HF. Mearly using a couple of slots given to the team for branding.

Nor would you get central marketing team sharing their work with the HF for sign off

FFS, In what universe does a club seek permission from (one small section) of Palace fans to organise a display?
Maybe PV should run his team selection by them before its announced too?
They need putting in their place. I'm 100% with the club on this one. CPFC2010 pay the bills and keep the lights on. Its up to them what they do. HF need to learn their place.

For the sake of consistency and impact, the two parties should probably have talked to each other to find out what the other was doing. I don't think either the club or the HF have the right to demand that each others displays should be canned, but I do think it makes sense to communicate and at least try to have a joined up effort to maximise the effect, rather than having an awkward, disjointed top/bottom tier contrast.

Massive fan of what the HF do but sometimes entitlement and a slightly immature attitude comes across which they'd do better to rectify. The club, which means in its entirety not just a few hundred individuals, is better together and aligned than splintered.

Oy. I may be spotty but I am not a teenager

Tell you what, when you do something towards other supporters and local charities let us know and we'll celebrate with you. Until you do so, I suggest you pipe down. Jeez.

Not in my experience. I have debated such issues with the 'movers and shakers' and I find them to be pretty sensible. This particular example is classic, no knowledge at all of a CPFC display until told by Wembley. But the Holmesdale display has been public knowledge for weeks. So who has the immature attitude? Who failed to consult? More importantly, why did they fail to? The answer appears to be a certain lady that sees herself as above the need to do so.
