Haha! Me too. Glad I wasn't the only one.

And me! I thought he'd gone well wide like the the one he'd just done before. I even said to myself "Bloody hell!" that he could do it twice so soon together.

Then looked up and saw Wilf celebrating. Lol

Why wait till then? What's wrong with watching them the rest of this season!!!

Strangely the more he practices the luckier he gets.

With thanks to Gary Player.

According to the report in The Times: "Zaha's pass eventually went through to Olise, who shot against his own leg, the ball lopping onto the post for Zaha to react first and fire home."
But I reckon Reg Paddock has it right and the Times is wrong. Olise is making a habit of curling in these shots aimed at the far post
(watching on TV, this one curled so much, I actually missed Wilf's goal - I'd looked away from the screen having assumed Olise's shot had gone well wide).

Exactly what I did! I couldn't even work it out from the replay!!

Me too - I watched the replay several times and still couldn't work it out. I'll have to see if I can pick out the shot against his own leg. The dip was ridiculous.

Unless my memory fails me, ITV didn't show the goal live, so you didn't miss anything! My recollection is of a close-up of Olise so as to capture his reaction to his 'miss', while the commentator said "OMG, Zaha has scored!" (or words to that effect) then the TV picture cut to Wilf celebrating.

Well I missed it in the stadium because I had turned away to say 'for f*ck's sake'.

Having watched the replay many times I really can't see where he kicks it against himself but the swing he takes does look really odd. I don't think he meant it, astonishing skill if he did.

There is talk of Newcastle sniffing around Eze, with apologies to Lanzo, I think Olise is going to be better.

Exciting times!

Well I've just watched the highlights four times and I can't see what many seem to regard as obvious, namely that he kicked the ball onto his standing leg and this imparted the spin. I think he tried something audacious and it came off. Enough ssaid.

I don't think it was luck, it was a brilliant attempt on goal. I am delighted that Zaha scored from the rebound but I would have loved it had Olise's shot gone in!

Watch the Roehampton extended 9 minute highlights on youtube. That's the only replay that shows both identical Olise attempts. In each case his standing leg is in the same position and his left foot seems to collide with it. It wasn't a fluke and it wasn't an accident. The first attempt was a sighter and the second was spot on. It was brilliant.

It was clearly a mis-kick, anyone who has played football at any level can see that immediately. Check out his reaction to CG's goal at Man City to yesterday. Enough said - he looked embarrassed.

Is the correct answer.

I think anyone who believes that this was a calculated technique has been at the magic mushrooms
