Great fans, great game and although we should have tied up the game earlier we did leave it too open.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I think you mean 'much better'. But, yes, we definitely need to get better at taking our chances.

I think that's from the goalie's point of view :-)

I don’t remember us ever having a squad of this strength. I thought Mateta worked very hard and is improving game by game. He is starting to understand our emerging superstar Olise. The only slight bad on the performance was bringing Benteke on. I would have preferred Ayew. Benteke never got into gear. He rarely does these days.
Overall a solid performance with a good outcome.
Not often to be relaxed all afternoon. Although Matetas 2nd half post strike and Mitchell’s follow up miss would have given us a party.

Well ladies and gentlemen, first of all thank you for a fantastic day out. Really enjoyed the trip and us Poolies had a great day. Some great videos on YouTube of us enjoying ourselves in and around the ground.

The game went as I expected (slightly better if being honest) You never got out of first gear and never needed to. Two early goals basically put the game to bed. We huffed and puffed but nowhere near your quicker slick standard. IF we had scored, I think Palace would of got into second gear and ended up 4 or 5-1.

As previously said top club and amazing fans. Good luck this and future seasons you deserve it.

Glad you enjoyed yourselves. It was an honourable defeat and you can hold your heads high.

His first touch was shocking and he hasn’t got the pace or skill to take players on. Three times he got played through and the defenders caught and tackled him each time.

Fully agree, just a shame our so called strikers did not score and missed so many chances, why PV brings on CB in any match is a mystery to me, the sooner he is off loaded the better as far as I’m concerned!

Yes, on the basis of his first-half performance (I posted at 3.50) I was being serious.

Could someone at the game provide player ratings? Unfortunately didn’t get to see it. Reports say that Olise was magnificent and Mateta was awful (4/10) but love to hear from someone here.

Definitely an upgrade on a certain someone

To me he looks very decent.

He is Decent, a 23 year old for 8m, holds the ball well, takes up decent positions, and can only improve, He isn't Vardy or Kane, but at the moment it is him or Edouard, i think PV will use both as a CF when Wilf is back

Yes the Poolies gave their team super support. Unfortunately for them and the neutrals, the two goals, coming when they did, killed the game as a contest. We were never going to let that lead slip.

Yes, we were sloppy in front of goal on a number of occasions, but tbf, their goalie pulled off several very smart saves, especially from some cracking shots by Mateta.

It was a very comfortable afternoon for us Palace fans (we don't get many of those).

As to individual players:
1. Great to see Adamarola make his 1st team debut.
2. Mateta grew into the game and was unlucky not to score.
3. Kelly acquitted himself well
4. Luka mixed a few good passes with a lot of poor ones
5. Gallagher was not at his best (and doesn't seem to have been since Covid)
6. Olise clearly the star of the show.
7. Benteke - why was he brought on? He looks more like a donkey every time he plays.
8. The others were all ok.

Thought their fans were good but very much inspired by our own fans and our ultras! All flags and flares but that's palace that started this in this country and we should be proud of that
