All things considered the results haven't been too shabby either. I think he deserves a chance at another club and commend him for not leaving now. As for his complaints I don't blame him it's frustration and yes he is correct clubs have taken advantage of Derby's problems and will continue to do so in the summer unless they find a sugar daddy. I had to smile when I read your post as it could have been written by Captain Beaky himself. We obviously wanted to sign the player and rumour had it that our original offer was just £300,000 but had to increase it to £1m in order to sign the player and not out of any altruist notion. We didn't want him right at this moment as we already have three strikers plus Jordan Ayew so it suited us to loan him out and Derby County are playing at a much higher level than the other clubs that we have loaned players to and miles ahead of what our development squad are playing. "Paying his wages" I doubt it as we won't have loaned him out free of charge
I have to credit Rooney for sticking with the job. I have something of a soft spot for the club as my great-grandfather played for them. so I'm hoping they can do what 2 months ago seemed impossible and stay up. They're on a decent run. Finally, I can understand Rooney's frustration at losing Plange. The club couldn't afford to keep him because they needed our £1m.

Wonder how many Tiffinians there are on this site. I’m one, but from a lifetime ago. I used to use the trolley buses to get to games. If all this means nothing to you, just ignore it…😜

I wonder if all else fails and the club goes in to liquidation whether we could buy the ground as a) it's much better than Selhurst Park and more importantly b) it's much nearer to me I can see a few negatives though its in Derby, not as bad as Leicester but close!
Sometimes I set out for Ludlow |

Could be being cynical but we obviously want him to continue his development and a loan to championship club make sense as he is already at that level. As it was a late transfer there is a good chance that we only had time to set up with Derby. Edited by Ketteridge (02 Feb 2022 7.11pm)

Rooney was doing a 'Roy', defend the point. Derby's player was dismissed in the 3rd minute. Plange was playing up top on his own & clearly unable to be effective either in attack OR in defence.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Derby whining about being taken advantage of. Possibly. £1m is dirt cheap, even for a 19 year old. Then again, it is £1m in their (administrator's) coffers to assist their escape from insolvency. And they get to keep the player.
