Roy has a bit too much class for those owners. They don't know how lucky they are. He is taking over an absolute s*** show. No guarantees he can keep them up, but he will get them organised. I certainly wish him well. Just don't take points off Palace.

Good luck to Roy I do think this may be one too far for a 74 year old

I am concerned that we may get dragged into a relegation battle. Last season at this point we had 29 points. Newcastle will buy themselves out of trouble. Roy knows how to win games and so does Dyche. We keep conceding late goals and making unforced errors. Most teams below us have games in hand.

I readily admit that similar thoughts have entered my mind !

He is not the one needing to run around and play. If the players respect him and listen to his ideas, that's all that matters. What has his age got to do with it. If he was incontinent and losing his marbles, but there are people in their 30's who are incontinent and losing their marbles. Edited by The Heath Eagle (25 Jan 2022 9.29pm)

Edited by The Heath Eagle (25 Jan 2022 9.29pm) The comments about his age always puzzle me. Seems a lot brighter and sharper than most and like a lot of people of his age probably just wants to get on with living and what makes him tick

We haven’t kept a clean sheet all season . He’ll have a tough job sorting us out but good luck to him and Ray. Sure he will get at the players and hopefully work them hard.

Absolute rubbish, think top 10 because that’s where we will finish up and a reward for the brand of football we are playing. Against Brighton every player touched the ball for our goal. If that was Man City the papers would still be writing about it. We came mighty close to drawing if not beating the ‘mighty’ Liverpool.

Apart from that one passage of play against Brighton we were total sh1t for the rest of the game. Our form over the last eleven games is poor and we’re conceding soft goals. I’m pleased we’ve got a cushion but as others have pointed out we’ve got five points less than at the same stage last season and some very tough looking home fixtures. No room for complacency
