Gave the CONservative woman the run-around tonight knocking my door, you can unpick them so easily-shows how bad they are when you know more facts than they do, made my day anyway, and persuaded me to vote tomorrow instead of staying home, no more voting until big dog has gone!

You can do that with most if your gun is loaded against them.
I doubt you would have picked a real mp apart.

Did you ask how she thought the Council had spent £120 million hand out her nasty CON government have given them? Just wondered

Beckenham is true blue I've had the usual leaflets from the opposition parties about "Tories don't care about local people / complacent blah blah."

To a certain extent they have a point I have lived in my home over 30 years and never once has my local Tory councillor knocked on my door for my views, never met them.

The problem is that statement also applies to all the other opposition parties. So why should I vote for any of them when they have never made an effort to talk to me. These are after all local councillors it's not like their constituency area covers hundreds of thousands of people.

So who do you pick the elected local official who can't be bothered to show their face or the wannabe who also can't be bothered to show their face.

Sigh Shakespeare almost had it right, "kill all the lawyers (and the politicians)".

Notts Council should twin with Croydon.

[Link]

This is what happens when politicians try to become businessman. I get that if you are a Labour council you would be concerned about energy prices for the poor. However setting up your own energy company which fails and has to be bailed out by the taxpayer is just plain crazy.

The alternative to running your own energy company and being on the hook for its debts was to directly help those you feel need it. For example you could offer them a rebate on their council tax or increase their benefits.

I hope the taxpayers of Nottingham give their council a bloody nose.

You doubt wrong, I picked the South Croydon CON mp apart on the doorstep a few years ago about your favourite subject, he knocked, said he"s the CON mp, is there anything I wanted to ask? I looked down my drive at my taxi-he said-"except uber?", I smiled, said it was the CON pm, CON chancellor, and CON London mayor who destroyed my job, he nodded and smiled and made his way up the drive. If you know your facts, you can destroy these people without leaving the house, he had nowhere to go- lucky for him its a safe seat!

I told her labour were absolutely useless, but the high tax CONS were worse, and asked how one of bungles good girlfriends went from owning Dog food canning r us, to Dog food canning and PPE R US overnight, with millions washed through it! She backed off and had tears in her eyes, i shouted stay and talk- she had nowhere to go- easy peasy- shame I already voted as was looking forward to knocking more CONS down on the doorstep!

No, she knocked my door, wanted my vote, I told her a few home truths, no agression, all civil, the tears in the eyes were her dream of being in power were disappearing through their own doings, nothing I said could be contradicted, if you think I should let her walk thinking she had CONned me in to voting for her/them you must be joking! Hope youre not going all woke on us Badger? Bullying? FFS!

It was bullying.
If black cabbies wernt so greedy uber wouldn't have got there foot in. How much is it.
1 mile between £6.20 and £9.60 . 4 miles between £16 and £24
6 miles between £26 and £36. All depending on times.
Is that really a reason to wonder why uber got in the door.
Never saw a poor cabbie.
Knew a couple who trousered upwards of 80k but never declared more than half. I wonder if said poster was totally straight with his accounts?

No, the reason Uber got their foot in London was the CONservative pm Camerons bestie was head of Uber in England, she was godmother to his kids, and the 600,000 shares he, the chancellor and bungle got greased the deal, but hey, don"t let the facts get in the way!

Come off it, the only ones who could afford cabs were businesses and you were expensive though. It was only fair to give the general public a chance to afford to travel for a reasonable price. If it wasn't uber it would have been another company and no doubt a link would have been found. In todays hard times have black cabbies reduced their fares to help the general public out. After all you want hmg to give away dosh to help so your mob should surely set an example.

Its in court, i didn"t get it there, but someone can see the illegality in the case obvs or they wouldn"t take it on no win no fee- still, you know more about it obviously - you should have been a lawyer!
