Their fans are having a right moan on Twitter as we aren't a big enough draw for them!

We’ll just have to give them a good hiding and show them how big we are, plus a bit of revenge for them knocking Bromley out of the promotion play offs last year

Having beaten Blackpool, we've been "rewarded " with an an away trip to Crystal Palace in the 4th round. Not a particularly glamorous tie, and unlikely to do much for Pools coffers either - Palace aren't the best supported club!

Cheeky buggers!

LOl Glamour and (Hartle)pools shouldn't really be used in the same sentence . As mentioned a decent draw that should see progress to the next round .

I went there , like an idiot, as weather was awful.

I seem to remember that most games were off cos of weather and cos of that our defeat was the giantkilling of that Saturday.

Cos of that my then g/friend regaled me of MOTD featuring our defeat [ as one of few natches on that day and we were the "chumps" that got beat]...........luckily I got home after MOTD and no replays in those days...so I missed the funeral.

I did have to do a bit of Internet snooping. I was wrong it was not the league cup but was the FA Cup, 92-93. Was Andy Saville though.

Hartlepool have only suffered 1 defeat in 8 games (League & Cups) since manager Graeme Lee was appointed last month.

I still haven’t thawed out and I’ve been in Spain 23 years.

I’m glad it’s not up there as I travelled up there in the 3rd round a number of years ago. Met the Lino in McDonald’s before the game. Stood on the terraces next to Sunderland fans whose game was called off. Called the result before the game kicked off as Richard Shaw was heard saying ‘we don’t fancy this’ on the frosty pitch on the coldest place in the world. Fair play to the pool fans who were in shirt sleeves. I think we lost 1-0.

Good suggestion on Twitter, cheap tickets for home fans to get the stadium as full as possible

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

and their goal was a blatant dive for the penalty. Ref was desperate to give it

Hmm Shrewsbury is a lovely town chock full of decent boozers. Hartlepool, on the other hand, is only nice to leave.
