If he won on some procedural irregularity by Borders then there would be some traction in the executive overturning the court. If the decision was based on compliance with a law made by the Australian government then it would be wholly disingenuous if that same government trashed the court decision for what must be political reasons. As POG has alluded to, its getting very messy(depending on who you read/listen to), either way its not doing Tennis any good whatsoever . . .

It seems that Novak got clearance from Aussie Tennis and the State of Victoria however this appears to be at odds with Federal law. Well how is he supposed to know that. However he may have lied on his visa application so that could be the excuse to turf him out if the government wants to. Apparently he implied he came direct to Australia from Spain when it appears that he went from Spain to Serbia before arriving in Australia.

He has now submitted false information on his travel documents. Blatant lies about not having visited other countries in the preceding 14 days and this is on a form which is to be completed and signed by the individual themselves.

EU can be tough at times when it suits but you need to compare the scale Australia is an island all of the EU is not. I have not been keeping up with Djokovic he came across as a lot of these sports or celebs they can do as they like the rules do not apply. Not sure about people moaning about he stopped off most of the long haul flights will stop off the difference in his case he may of planned it so he travels to one country and then gets another flight all the way which each would require testing before hand anyway. Paper work wise you could class this as misleading but they could argue this or anything this is the problem with Australia at the minute they are going crazy over everything which has no basis. They are anti vax and are trying to flex the muscles with some one high profile to scare people that are trying to oppose them.
