That second game - was a midweek one, we were dire for about 85 minutes & didnt even look like scoring, I pretty much never leave early but that night I decided I would it was cold & damp & I decided I would head off to be able to get the earlier train -
I was still in Holmesdale road when I heard the first roar & of course as I got to Selhurst station people were talking about Jimmy Mac, winner - lol.

Yeah Allerdyce was manager.
We had no shots on target in the 90 minutes in 2 consecutive home games against Watford and won both.
That 1-0 thanks to Deeney OG and a 2-1 the following season under Roy when Bakary Sako and McArthur scored in injury time!

Yes, i think the bottom three are sorted, only Brentford could alter that, probably 32/33 points enough to stay up this year.

Agree.

Some fans already getting a bit fed up of Roy!

Don't be surprise to hear a few calls for him to go if we lose this weekend at Villa and don't score.

We never scored a goal in his 1st 3 PL games in charge either but 2 were away at Man C and Man Utd ! We did beat Chelsea 2-1 in his 4th game !

Reckon we could swap PV for Roy just for this w/e, that would mean we would beat Chelsea & Watford would score.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I will have a darned good guffaw if these are the outcomes for our team and Watford!

Fans definitely not taking to Roy at all.

Had a little go at the fans about having favourites and it’s not gone down well.

You weren't too bad today, you can see Roy starting to have an effect, but it's too slow to save you by the looks of things.

Roy's methods take time, he lost his first 3 games for us before he was able to turn the supertanker around. I suspect he will not have enough games to save you.

Away form isn’t bad and certainly today was better than v you guys /Brighton.

Was he a bit like that with you guys?

Not really a PR media person is Roy I guess .

Roy getting prickly in his old age.

This is the fans not enjoying their favourites subbed?

We had a saying 'In Roy we trust'.

Subs not his speciality but I can't remember him having a go.

I think he was more he took a player off(Louza) who was having a good game and left someone on (Cleverley) who wasn't in the eyes of the fans.

Then said well I know more than the fans who have their favorites.

But loads of managers probably think that and well he won't be here long I suspect so (doubt Roy will stay beyond the end of this season) not worried about making friends or not.

Even here, where he had a lengthier stay and was rightly respected by most fans, it did always feel as though he was a stop-gap appointment.

I fear the task at your place may be slightly too much an ask of him. He's as good an appointment as anybody else in such circumstance but your squad, which reminds me of a randomized FIFA 'create your own' team, may be a bridge too far.

I was always unsure as to how the owner's apparent approach would work out, it's looking as though it's 'not so well'. Perhaps Roy too is already 'fed up' with what could possibly be described as a pretty insane way of working for a FC. I'd struggle to even come close to naming a starting XI for your. Albeit my only footballing knowledge these days is primarily sourced as a committed MOTD watcher.

(Not having any go's there BTW just a thought/observation).

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
