Bloody hell! I didn’t realise Ghana had such a wealth of talent to chose from.

Tbf, that is a right touch for us if Jordan remains available to us throughout the remainder of the Season and doesn’t go to the Afcon.

They named a provisional 30 man squad on Tuesday, and are not expected to add any new names today....

Really weird if true given he started up top on his own in the last game and has played most of their qualifiers.

What are you talking about, the day AWB made his debut our CH were Fosu-mensah and tomkins, and the bench was Henry, Dalaney (injured),Soare, Lee chuung, Rakip, Kirby and Lokiilo, he played not because he wa OUTSTANDING we had nobody else, thats how you find if the younger players can hack it

He was kept from going out on loan because he was impressing so much at rb vs wilf in training, his debut was inevitable, there's very few in that 23s squad that will ever play for us, defensively the 2 cbs are terrible,

Yes Aaron Wan-Bissaka played against Tottenham because of injuries most young players will get their opportunities either through injury or in meaningless end of season games. Here is the important part though they need to be in the right position and developed enough to take that opportunity
Both AWB and Tyrick were in the right position both had played on pre-season tours and trained with the first team both been unused subs. In the case of AWB a loan move was turned down specifically because Hodgson wanted him for the first team.
If Ward or Kelly hadn’t of been injured AWB doesn’t play but that would have delayed his debut not stopped it altogether that is the crucial point.
Of the players you mentioned originally Rak-Sakyi fits that development pattern best if we get an injury crisis, we might seem him get some matches, more likely if we are safe towards the end of the season he will come on as late sub.
I agree with what Doombear has said about the Papa John’s the U23s didn’t exactly excel, Jake O’Brien Jay-Rich-Baghalou aren’t the same stage of their development as Rak-Sakyi if we can get some decent loans for them that might be the best option. Nya Kriby unfortunately looks like he is running out of time.

In the Premier League at something like £1.15 million per league placing at stake there are very few meaningless games at the end of the season.

I get your point and i'm probably over stating the meaningless, but those matches at the end of the season represent the best oppotunity to give youngsters the chance. Tyrick , Luke Dreher and Pierrick have all be given chances in matches which were less significant

For sure - Also whilst the £1.15 million per place is valuable, the opportunity to give a youngster a run out to evaluate his progress also has a value (obviously that value is less tangible than a Premier League check)

Found this . . . [Link]

Looks like he IS in final 28 man squad seeing as 2 players have already dropped out due to injuries from the original 30 man provisional squad.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
