b) Biden was truly ancient before his first visit to Ireland. And only for expedient political reasons in the US. All US presidents need to chase the irish vote cos it is massive - Reagan

Isn't the Biden family actually more English than Irish? I remember reading that they fought for the English in the past. So much is myth that people want to believe than what the truth is. Especially how the Irish past is portrayed in America....most of it being romanticized. His great great grandfather was Owen Finnigan from county Louth, his other great great grandfather was Patrick Blewitt from county Mayo, and lots of Irish fought for England, 50,000 in the first world war alone. The truth always goes south in a battle , human nature, on all sides.

Yes, the 45 million Irish Americans do draw a bit of interest from the presidential candidates, although the largest European community in the U.S.A are Germans suprisingly, at 60 million.

Still lies however you dress it up. That's simply untrue. That chart is not a lie. All the figures are true. It's how, why and when they are presented that is the spin. Every politician and journalist spins. We all do to some extent. The only time we are required to tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, is when we are under an oath to do so.

An oath before a God that a tint percentage of the country believes in enough for it to make a difference. That’ll work.

Right. An oath before a God that a tint percentage of the country believes in enough for it to make a difference. That’ll work. I am not excusing anything. I am explaining differences. If you choose not to see them, and want to conflate them, then that's your problem. It doesn't alter facts.
