Of all the proposed candidates for the job I think I was most in favour of Lampard. I will also hold up my hands and say I was worried about life under anyone but Roy. Yes, the football was mostly dire but he kept us up and didn't spend much money which partly enabled the rebuild of this season (that and John Textor). As soon as PV was appointed he was our manager and I wanted nothing more than to see him succeed. Its fair to say he has exceeded all my hopes and our football is a total joy to watch. Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Pretty much The same here, Foxy. didn't want Dyche, Howe or NES - I was relived when he pulled out. Though was quite dissapointed not to get Favre. PV, an unknown, probably similar to Lamps in that he was newish to management and had a bit to prove - but I can't say I was excited at the prospect. I was of the view that he was much more likely to fail than succeed. But what a start to his time here. Noone could have anticipated this. The summers recruitment, even with hindsight was nigh on Perfect. The whole club deserve all the credit for doing something so right after years of what felt like incompetence and negligence of playing duties at times. They(the mgmt) have all been fully vindicated in my eyes. "It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

didn't want Dyche, Howe or NES - I was relived when he pulled out. Though was quite dissapointed not to get Favre.

PV, an unknown, probably similar to Lamps in that he was newish to management and had a bit to prove - but I can't say I was excited at the prospect. I was of the view that he was much more likely to fail than succeed.
